I've been to this place several times throughout the years, and it still remains as one of my favorites. This place does have an outdated system, as you have to punch in numbers rather than pick songs from a computer, but they do update their song selection quite frequently. The owner is very accommodating and extremely pleasant when dealing with customers. He always gives my group some sort of deal, and it's never too expensive. I will definitely be returning.
Review Source:Best way to end the night.
As a disclaimer, karaoke bars are pretty scarce in Philly. However, Rodeo is a great place to go to if you're looking to sing your lungs out, and an affordable price. When I visited the first time, I was sketched out a little by the stairwell going down. Although after having been there 10+ times, this is the go-to place to sing, especially after a night at Don Memo's, which is right around the corner.
If you speak Korean, you can almost always get a better deal, but the fare for a room ranges from $20-40 an hour, which can be pretty cheap if you have a large enough group. They almost always give bottled water and about 45 minutes into your singing, they'll come in with a couple baskets of fresh fries, which always make my night. Also, this place sells alcohol (soju and imported wines), but if you have leftover tequila from that BYO, they don't mind if you bring it. I also recommend getting a teapot of yogurt soju, which will blow your mind.
Their song selections are very heavy in Korean songs, but they update their songbooks frequently and every time I go, there's always the newest American top 40 songs to choose from. I've also worked with Rodeo in booking larger events, and they've been very accommodating.
If you're looking for a place to bring a large group of friends after a night of drinking, hop on the Frankford line and check out Rodeo. You won't regret it!
