Anh Hong Pho & Cafe

I can't believe the good reviews here!!!  I went here last night because we drove a ways and Little Saigon (Much better) was closed.  Huge mistake!  My boyfriend and I "ate" here last night. We had an order of the spring rolls... Flavorless. Unless oil is a flavor. Oily and disgusting. I took one bite and I was over it.  We already ordered a bowl of pho each before we tasted the disgusting grease tube they called a spring roll... It was the worst pho either of us has ever had, and we are both world traveling foodies.  I pulled out a giant pile of fatty grey beef?  Then I tried to just eat the broth, terrible. Watery and oily a strange feat to accomplish but they managed.  I took about 4 bites before I tapped out. My boyfriend, not so lucky. He ended biting into what he described as a rancid fishy octopus tentacle (yes, in his pho).  At that point we just wanted to get out of there. We paid, which we shouldn't have, and got the hell out of there. Service was bad too. Had to ask for water and our server sat a table away from us watching TV.  He never checked on us and completely ignored us. All around one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a VERY long time.

Good as it gets in terms of hoagies. NEVER eaten here, but their Viet hoagies surpass all others, including all of metro Philly!!! Get the grilled pork...it'll knock your socks off. SO delicious...heading out right now for another one. AND the price is right. Waiting for my hoagie, the pho looks outstanding! Can't wait to give IT a try.

Nice people free salad as a starter! Their pho and fried rice was good!
P.S Normally, I get very thirsty after having Pho, but my mouth wasn't dry at this place!!
That means, they use very little MSG or NO MSG!!
