I went there for the first time on what was probably the wrong day. The fire alarm went off and was beeping at a high pitch out of control for something like 20 minutes. I can't remember the exact amount of time but I had a headache the entire time that I was there as a result. I understand that things happen but I was surprised that they neither evacuated the building nor turned the alarm off. They also didn't tell people what was going on. The customers were just left there in a crowded restaurant wondering why the hell the fire alarm was going off and when it would stop. They did apologize afterwards but the more I think about it, the more I realize that they should have evacuated the building while that was happening. Every office building and school does, come on now.
As to the food, it was alright. The service was on the slow side, we weren't sure if it was because of the alarm going off. I think that our food was a little bit lukewarm when it arrived. Another complaint that I have about the food was that it seemed a bit too sweet and also too salty, like not in a good way. Like the flavors were off. I thought that about the sauce on the Glory Wings. Also, I didn't really like the slaw on the Pittsburger that I ordered. I didn't like the way that the flavors melded. I did like the blueberry lemonade, though again it was kind of "syrupy", I did think that it tasted good.
I would probably go again and try it on another day without the fire department drama to see if I feel differently. I am up for trying other things on the menu, however, I do think that there are better options out there. It seems a bit mediocre. It does seem like a popular place to take kids though.
Went here again today and it is still really good. Seems that prices are high, but the prices are worth it. Certain items are more worth the prices than others. Shrimp platter and the Chicken Fried Chicken are really good. There is also a 25% off for people in uniform in the military. If you have a large group though, 18% gratuity is automatically added as it is in most places.
Review Source:Poor service, Got 2 out of 3 orders wrong. Asked for No Bacon on Cheese fries piled stacks of bacon/grilled onions on fries, looked disgusting and tasted even worse. Burger was still raw not even cooked. Threw away about $20.00 of the crap they call food. Only decent thing they have is the chicken cheessteak. Never coming here again, rather eat Burger King.
Review Source:We have been there a few times since the last review in October and the place is just very inconsistent. Â For the most part, you get a decent meal, but basically, be there at happy hour to get the drink specials, go after 9pm to get app specials, or go on Mondays to get $5.55 burgers. Â The service is terribly slow although many different employees will stop by your table to tell you the waiter is very busy but NEVER offer you a glass of water or a drink refill. Â At least they stop by - the manager only makes an appearance when the host/hostess complains that they needed to serve water to waiting tables. Â Other than that - he'll just walk on by - and he won't even bother to pick up the check to run the credit card. The place would be better served with new management.
Review Source:I would give this place a 3.5 if possible.
My husband and I went in for lunch one day. The place was packed but we ended up getting a booth immediately. The place is decorated with alot of sports stuff...tons of tv's all over the place.
Our waiter service was alright. She came across as indifferent, not mean or anything, just not to charismatic that day. We ordered some potato skin appetizer..I would pass on them next time, the potatoes were rather gritty tasting. I ordered the Prime Rib Sandwich and my husband ordered the Margarita Flat Bread. My Prime Rib Sandwich was AWESOME. Great strong flavor and the onions on it were cooked perfectly. If you are an onion lover, like myself, then you will enjoy this sandwich. I tried my husbands flat bread and it was bad. The flavor of the flat bread, sauce, cheese, and tomatoes literally tasted like the cooks walked over to Shoppers next door, bought all the pieces to the dish, heated them up and then put it together. In more simple words it tasted store bought and not good.
For what we ordered and how the food tasted I would say it is slightly over priced, our check was rather larger considering what we ordered...our 2 meals, appetizer, 1 water and 1 lemonade cost in the upper 30s.
I'm sure we will be coming back, it's an okay spot.
SIDE NOTE: if you hate children then dont come here. So many children, tons of crying and screaming.
A friend and I meet here for dinner on occasion. Parking is easy, service is overall decent (with the occasional slow server), and the food is consistently good as well.
We usually come on nights there is one of their weekly specials special going on: $5 burger night, or $5 late night appetizers, fish fry Fridays, etc., which makes for a pretty good deal.
Always good food and beverages. Â $5 burgers on Monday!!! I normally get the steak salad, which is great. Ask for it drained and with the salad dressing on the side. The salad normally comes drenched in a vinaigrette and the steak marinade that it is cooked in, to buttery / oily for me. Drained and on the side is a much better option.
Review Source:We have been there several times. The food is good and we love all the tvs, but from now on we just do take out. The services has been so slow every time. One time we had a waiter tell us "I'm deaf in one ear, so forgive me if I don't hear you.", which was fine (we couldn't understand why they would put him in the loudest area of the restaurant. That doesn't excuse never coming back to our table and checking on us. He took our order, someone else ran out the plates and we had to flag him down for the check. That is just one example. Like I said, we like the food (good for a sports bar), but the service needs a lot of help.
Review Source:Glory Days really great for a casual dinner with family and friends. Their wait staff is young, but I don't have a problem with it. It's always a good idea to call ahead to see what the wait time will be since South County sometimes hosts events for fundraising, as well.
One of my favorite things is how quickly the hosts and hostess' jump from their booth to open the door for you to allow you to either come in or leave. It's so polite and does not go unnoticed :)
Yana and I went at 9 pm on a Friday night and the place wasn't too busy, which was great because we were starving!
A few groups of people were sitting by the bar and the screens watching various sporting events.
We opted for Appetizers and shared a half-order of Macho Nachos (minus the bacon) and 12-boneless Buffalo wings. Thank goodness we asked for mild, I can't image how saucy the "Hot" variety could have been!
Our waitress, Melissa, was super nice and gave us both sauces: Blue Cheese and Ranch. The wings were served with celery and were great! They were crispy and juicy. I really liked them a lot.
The Macho Nachos were pretty tasty as well. I don't know if Yana's side had more of the condiments, but I think I got quite a few of  plain the tortilla chips. That was okay, though, they were still pretty tasty.
Typical grill food. Very consistent not great not bad. Â Wings are pretty good burgers are fine. Â Seafood was soggy and at best mediocre. Â It is your usual chain that offers too much on the menu and does no one thing worth writing home about. Â Decent place to go when you don't know what you want or have any expectations. Â Based on what it is I give 3 stars since it's relatively ok.
Review Source:brutally inconsistent ... not sure why they can't get things right here on a regular basis.
Food will be great, service HORRIBLE, last night our server was great but it took an order of two burgers to 35 mintues to come out, WTF? when they came out, they were good ...
pretty frustrating.
**Update: seems to me that things have changed here and I'm looking forward to going back. Changing from 3 to 4 stars *** Every time I come here I swear I won't be back. The bartenders anger me with their rudeness and attitudes. Â You're a bartender at Glory Days in Lorton dude, get over it. Â Other than that, the food is good and they play baseball on tv. Â The greeters and wait staff are usually pretty young which has its downfalls but its nice to see that the establishment provides opportunities for appreciative youngsters.
Review Source:This is your typical neighborhood bar/restaurant with good burgers and appetizers (Try the wings they are pretty good). Â I other reviews for this location had problems with the service but they did a good job for us and it was a Saturday night at dinner time so maybe they have improved. Â If you love sports this is a good place to go watch a game and have a beer. Â They have a ton of TVs and each table has their own speaker so you can listen to any TV you choose.
Review Source:This location is still relatively new (maybe 5 years old now), so the interior is pretty nice, however, the service at this location is atrocious! Food is incredibly slow and the waitstaff is generally quite young. Not saying being young is necessarily a bad thing, but, on the whole, they've been unprofessional and unfriendly.
They're worth a try because the wings CAN be good... if they come our properly.
I just tend to go to the Burke location because it has more of a sports bar feeling, whereas this location feels more family-oriented.
Enjoyed their buffalo chicken salad here and great sweet potato fries, but the service here on two occasions has been pretty awful. Â Last night we went for happy hour, were seated, and ten minutes later when the waitress finally came around were barely able to get one round before happy hour was over!
Review Source:I met Regina, and she was the absolute SWEETEST server I've ever met!!!
She takes this place from a neigborhood restaurant to a great restaurant...
i wish there was a way to make sure they reconized her for her individual care (with a busy zone!!!) and her sensitivity to special needs!!! Not to mention she was personable and still professional!!!
Thank you so much!!!!
The food was good, I had the shrimp and lobster rolls... I didn't care for them... but LOVED the wings (Asian sauce) and the lava cake!!!
Superbowl Sunday 2011.
Arrived 10 minutes before kickoff and was shortly seated in a large booth in front of their super huge big screen! YAY! other friends called in several days before superbowl and, for $25, reserved their seat at the bar... For me, with no reservation and a short wait, I have no complaints with the extra-long booth, cushioned, leg-stretchable aaand being surrounded by enthusiastic fans aaannd with a wall-sized projector screen directly across from the booth. oh and did I mention these seats were free~
the place was packed and everyone's eyes were either glued to the 100 televisions they have in there, or to their plates, munching away at burgers, steaks, and/or fried goodies. the occasional belch and subsequent laughter~ good times.
front of the house staff seemed very alert and our server frequently checked in with our table-- the whole restaurant was booked. it was an intense night for the restaurant and they pulled it off!
the half-order machos nachos were super simple and tasted as expected. they weren't sheisty with the toppings and the portion was enough for 4 people to share!-- i imagine the full-order is prolly more of the same nacho-ness, except feeding 6 or 7 people. the cheeseburger trifecta was pretty goood. i inhaled the first half of it. fries were a bit salty.
steelers lost but (who cares) I had fun! =P not bad for a random sports bar restaurant in a random town.
Not a very good choice for a vegetarian, obviously. Â Their veggie burgers are indeed delicious, though. Â The portions are huge, so I usually end up getting a side dish for my meal. Â The desserts are overly indulgent but good if you're having a carefree day for the waistline. Â
The wait staff leaves some to be desired. Â Some are friendly of course, but more than usual I get someone who's very bored, unwilling to help and has the air about them that they'd rather be somewhere else texting by the back. Â They have a ton of staff as well - there are about five people standing around just to open the door for you.
Good for a quick stop at the bar for a drink and a side, but otherwise is something you can skip without much regret.
I admit, I go here frequently. I always get one beer, one side of cheese fries. If you work here, here's a tip! Put enough cheese in the MIDDLE OF THE PORTION, not just on top, fellas.. And stop piling the fries. They do tend to get soggy by the time I get to them.
Wait staff leaves something to be desired. Maybe you could flirt with me once in awhile instead of taking my order and dipping out so fast. That'll at least get you a good tip! The waitresses are attractive, just wish they'd have a little bit more people skills and not be so focused on their own agenda's sometimes. They seem rushed to return to their cell phones to text people.
An OK neighborhood sports bar. Â My kids like it, and we end up listening to cartoons or the like. Â A decent place for a dinner with the family, complete with chicken strips etc. Â Wings are O.K. and the burgers are all right. Â
The wait staff usually leaves something to be desired. Â One time the waiter brought water that he spilled all over the meals soaking the buns for our sandwiches and didn't do anything to rectify the situation--he seemed astonished that we didn't want to eat our buns like all the competitive eaters do by soaking them in water. Â Finally we got new sandwiches. Â On the plus side, the manager did send me some gift cards when I called to tell them how their waitstaff worked.
Tried this again the other day, figuring that the how often would it be that a single organization can't understand that appetizers are supposed to be delivered before the entrees. Â Guess again. Â Two appetizers and two entrees were delivered first, then 10 minutes or more later the other two entrees were brought out (only after asking why it was done like this). Â I would not go here for something other than a beer or a single set of food--i.e., a group of appetizers or a group of entrees, don't try mixing both and I can only imagine if you ordered soup or a salad.
