When Village Chicken disappeared in favor of Boardwalk Fries, I about cried. Not that Boardwalk is awful or anything, just Village was my favorite little place to pick up a quick, cheap and tasty bite. My favorite part about Village Chicken is that the employees always seem to be in a good mood - it cheers you up. You don't get that a lot around here.
Now that "The Village" is back, I feel like my life is complete again. There are 3 go-to's on the menu for me:
-chicken quesadilla -- get peppers and onions and dip in the tzaziki sauce
-gyro
-house salad -- a true man salad, covered in gyro meat from the meat tornado, chicken, dressing....it's not a salad you eat when you're on a diet, that's for sure
I am a big fan of their chickpeas as a side dish, but am not particularly fond of the macaroni salad. Nobody's perfect, I guess. Most meals come with a drink and will set you back less than $7 overall.
