Mediterranean Bakery & Cafe

So in my ongoing quest to find food as good as Greektown, I decided to try this place.   I decided to keep it simple and ordered a chicken gyro and the spinach puff things (spanakopita?).  Anyway, the gyro was pretty good.  I've had better (in Greektown), so while I wasn't overly impressed, I did enjoy it.  It was very flavorful, but seemed kind of plain to me...like it was missing something.  The spinach thingys were delicious!  I am mad I only bought two!  Customer service was great and the ladies were all very friendly and helpful...and the prices were great.  I was so mesmerized by the desert counter I didn't get a chance to look up and down the aisles.  Definitely worth another trip.  Next time, I'm going to try the schwarma.

Best pita bread in town and excellent labneh (Arabic sour cream). Fantastic selection of Middle Eastern foodstuffs. Don't leave without getting a dozen of their backed goods.

If you like Middle East type of foods, this is the place for your weekend spot and their authentic items.  If you like olive oil and this is definitely the place to go, but better have a smartphone with you because you will need to google them.  Too many of them.

I like their gyro, falafel, Turkish cofffee...etc  I have not try their dessert yet.... but look good.  You need to come and try it.  Also, I just saw two hotties walk in when I was walking out : ) nice
