  Classic NYC style Chinese food.  The folks are nice and it seems steadily busy.  The egg rolls are a bit 'thick' and the ginger sauce was a little too sweet.  But for the price, it's pretty decent.

  what is wrong with all these people giving 5 star to this place??!!!!
  
  THE FOOD IS NOWHERE NEAR BEST!!!!
  
  Because of all the rave here, we finally had a chance to try it ourselves. We were hungry when we came in.
  
  you know the rule of thumb : when you are hungry, even rock will taste good. BUt NOT IN THIS CASE!!!
  
  We ordered the easiest simplest must-taste-good-otherwise dish : chicken lo mein and beef with mixed vegetables.
  
  Both of them had same taste : TOO SALTY and tasteless.
  
  Look, Chinese food DOES NOT have to be ALWAYS SALTY. They can taste yummy without being over salty!!
  
  Sorry.  I am Asian, I have been to China myself, been to different places in US, and this place not worth your trip.

  This was simply thebest Chinese food I had ever had!  Friendly staff; simple bit clean restaurant setting,  and the best homemade sweet tea ever!!!

  One day while shopping at Kroger next door, I decided to stop in and pick up a takeout menu.  On the menu it says, "New York Style".  Seeing as I just moved to Louisville from NYC, I HAD to try it.  OMG, the food is EXCELLENT here!!!  The owner was extremely nice to me and whipped up a dish you can only get in NYC.  I have tried three other chinese takeout places here in Louisville, only to be very disappointed.  I was about ready to kidnap Mr.Tong, our neighborhood chinese takeout guy from back in Brooklyn, and bring him here to Louisville.  I'm SOOO happy to have discovered this place!  It is EXCELLENT!

  I am from Singapore. I moved to Louisville 2000 and found my home away from home here at Great Wall. No it'll never be like the food I had in my home country but I tell ya, if you're looking for great chinese food, look no further. The owner uses the freshest of ingredients and everything is made AFTER you ordered it. Not sitting in a buffet steam bath getting the life force sucked out of it. The portions are generous and if you are there for lunch, drinks are included. Great price, great food and great people.

  As far as quick chinese food goes, I dont think it gets any better - plus its cheap.
  It isnt much to look at, pretty much take-out only with just a few tables.
  Everything I have ever had has been really good, the staff is friendly as well.
  It is located next to Kroger in Cresent Hill.
