Ok so I will admit my Freshman and Soph year of college my friends and I had some great times but in the past two years this place has gone to enjoyable to a complete shitshows.
The wait in line on Thursday night is ridiculous so don't even bother showing up after 11:30 trying to get in because they will hold it. The crowd is a pretty good mix I will admit but it doesn't make up some of the douchebags that pollute this place. Had a dude basically try to fight me because I decided I didn't want him rubbing his wang on my ass.
Drinks are eh, nothing great (Heaven has better deals IMO). I do like that they remodeled the place so now there's more room on the second floor to chill/sit/dance. And when its warm out the roof area is pretty nice ad chill. DJ used to be pretty good now its kinda blah and he def tends to repeat lots of stuff (guess he think everyone is so wasted they wont realize).
Too many fights and rif-raf at this point. A bouncer got in my friends face (who was sober) and was shouting at her bc she said Ouch when he came thru pushing people out the way for no reason. Tried to fight her and mgmt had to suspend that guy. Overall I wouldn't go back to this place if I ever came back to the Triad to visit and most of you college crowd will probably grown somewhat bored with this place by your Senior year.
I normally don't hit the clubs but I was with an old friend and we were trying to find something to do in downtown Greensboro. Â It was packed by 11:00pm. Â It was easy to get a drink at all 4 level bars (rooftop area is the best). Â People watching was fantastic. Â We were a little on the older side and most of the women here were between 18-24 wearing spandex/lycra tight fitting outfits - good on the eyes, but not much substance from the ones we talked to. Â The dudes here seemed kind of cheesy, then I realized I am there too...so I left....no cheese here.
Review Source:I usually party here when I make a trip home! Â My old butt actually went to college night/Thursdays and it was PACKED! Â Waited an hour in the cold and it sucked. Â They held the line so VIP $40 got in first while us commoners were held back.
What I do like bout this venue is 3 levels. Â The rooftop is lovely and has plenty of tables. Â The drinks are decently priced. Â Music is on point most nights! Â Security thinks they are the ish and they are not! Â I actually got kicked out once for being sarcastic but nonetheless I still like it here.
Greene Street is a nice bar because it is actually four bars in one. The have a main bar downstairs with a dance floor and band stage. Upstairs on the second level they have another bar and many places to sit or stand. It's "open air" so you can look down on the first floor and watch people dancing and you can still see the stage from the balcony. On the third floor, there are two more bars. One is inside near the restrooms and the other is on the roof. There is another dance floor and smaller stage on the roof. It's great for Friday's after work or late night weekends. Just make sure that you know the band or at least the music they cover. Sometimes they book "weird" artists.
Review Source:First a confession. Â I don't go to nightclubs. Â But there was an opportunity to meet Playboy's Miss January 2010 Jamie Edmondson and attend the "models and bottles" bikini contest, so I went.
Pretty nice facility in downtown Greensboro, especially the roof garden/bar/dance floor. Â Excellent use of space in a downtown facility.
I was there on a night when the outside temperature at 11 pm was still 80. Â THERE WAS NO A/C! Â While I enjoyed the contest, it was very hot in this club. Â I am glad that there wasn't a huge crowd or it would have been unbearable.
