The Greenville Tavern

I've now been to this place several times and it seems to be gaining some traction in the neighborhood.  This makes me happy because they deserve it.  I've been trying to explore the menu, but it is difficult to try other things when the fried chicken is so damned good.  It might be the best I've ever had.  And there are few things that go as well with fried chicken as a nice hoppy beer- and they have plenty of choices.

Nice place, lots of TVs, not crowded.

Cold Food, no paper towel in the bathroom, and they ran out of Guinness with only 4 people in the place during a Hawk's game.

We got take out from here. Two burgers and a salad. It was pretty good. They added a strange herb in excess to the burgers that was very off-putting to my husband and I. Otherwise, a good burger. They forgot the bacon on one that we paid extra for, but we enjoyed the variety of options we could get from a pretzel bun or brioche, to smoked cheddar or goat cheese. They used the same excessive herb on the french fries too, so I barely had any. The onion rings got wet sitting in a puddle of pickles juice, but this is more an issue with their packaging than food itself. We'll have to try their sit down service some time, since people seem very pleased when they dine in. I'm always open to modifying my rating and review. Not bad. not great. We'll try again some other time.
