Harold's Place

been a couple years since I had been here, I loved it then...the bands are still great and everything is the same except im old now and don't deal with humidity too well anymore....there is no air flow in this place so its wall to wall bodys and sweat.

They have no beer on tap, and they're still waiting to get PBR, but there are multiple dead animals on the wall and they use old tuna cans for ashtrays. Being so close to the LA Harbor, it should come as no surprise that it's a place frequented by longshoremen and a few hipsters, so we've covered the gambit there. Now they do have live music, but there is no stage to speak of, so you're right there with the band. It's what a booking agent would call "an intimate venue" and what we would call awesome.

Love this place.....   and I am absolutely,  unequivocally don't know why !!???   Sometimes they get really good bands,  you know...   live music !
