I love district wine! As a long beach local I really appreciate having such a cool, fun and sophisticated place in the heart of downtown. The owners are REALLY nice, and super attentive to their customers. The wine selection is fantastic, as it should be, featuring a bunch of great california wines. But what really impressed me was the food. Ok It's expensive, the atmosphere just FEELS expensive so of course the food is. But at least it lives up to the price, the artichoke flatbread and prosciutto bob bons are amazing! For a posh night on the town this place is a great choice.
Review Source:I literally stumbled on top of this place since I was on the phone and aimlessly walking around. I look up and what does it say? Happy Hour! So of course I walk in not knowing where I was going and absolutely fell in love with this place. Wines by the glass and by the bottle. See something you like in a bottle, it's likely they will open in for you anyway. This is a husband and wife that own and run the place and this is an absolute gem in Long Beach.
Bar seating. Table seating. Outdoor seating. Great atmosphere. Great wine. Great food.
Holy Crap! What a gem of a place in downtown Long Beach! This place is a hybrid between fancy, classy, and cool, but far from pretentious; a location I'll definitely take close friends, family and dates to enjoy. Â Not only is the atmosphere inviting, the service is impeccable, drink selection (wine and beer) is plentiful, and food is delectable.
Their awesome Happy Hour is Mon-Saturday from opening to 7pm. Â The prosciutto bon bons ($5) have bursts of flavor, combining salt, sweet, and savory to perfection. You'll likely order two or three of these. All of their flat bread pizzas. ($7/each) are delicious and seems to be brick oven baked (my favorite is Italian Meat). Â And I discovered my new favorite beer here! The Staropramen Lager ($4) which is light, crisp and hoppy! Perfect to drink alongside those items I mentioned above. Â Best part is that everything is tasty AND affordable. Â ONLY negative is that their portion sizes for apps and entrees are small.
Nevertheless, I'll definitely be coming back and will likely throw an event here in the future! Â My favorite place in Downtown Long Beach, hands down!
