Birthday dinner for my husband and all seven of us were very happy with put meal and the service. Â We have steamers, calamari and garlic bread appetizers, and a few drinks to start. Â Meals were 10 oz filet with fingerling potatoes and steamed vegetable, steak was perfectly cooked and very tasty, grilled salmon with rice and veg was great, jambalaya was awesome just enough heat without taking away from the taste, maple glazed roast pork was amazing (it was the table favorite) salmon and a perfectly cooked risotto (that from a picky risotto eater).
My son-in law- baked a birthday cake and our waiter put it in the refrigerator until we were ready for it. Â He brought the cake out & lit the candles so we could sing happy birthday.
We were seated at the upper level at a great table next to the windows which was great for the view and for having conversations. Â The lower level would have been to noisy for conversation.
Our server (Doug) was very attentive but not annoying. Â When we needed drinks or food or plates cleared he was there. Â He had a really great upbeat attitude and knew the menu and food enough to make good recommendations.
Overall great time with family and friends, we'll be back
One more thing - The Shoreline area where this place is located is really active with live music, great shops & places to drink. Â Great place to take a date or to spend the day with family.
Came here with BF's family for Father's Day dinner awhile back (I am super behind with reviews!) and it was....decent? Parking was crazy and we just did valet instead of circling forever.
The food was actually pretty decent. I had the chilean sea bass (or patagonian toothfish if we're going to be honest) and it was lovely! I tried bits from other plates and everything tasted okay. So why 3 stars? For the prices and views, I would have expected better service. Service was RIDICULOUS. Our waiter took forever to get our orders..he checked in maybe once when we got our food...then disappeared forever. When it came time for dessert, we asked what flavor sorbet they had. "Let me go double check." I would say I'd give them 5 minutes to find out, check with other tables, and then report back. He was gone for an insanely long time and when he finally came back, he put in our order. How long does it take to scoop out ice cream and sorbet? A really long time apparently! They had raspberry and strawberry on the menu that night and we asked for strawberry. Nope. Got raspberry. The wait had been so long that we just didn't bother and ate it. (Not like he bothered to check in anyway!) I think if the service hadn't been so terrible, this place would have made a better impression. But I'm under the impression that with high price tags comes better service and this just wasn't the case here.
