Birthday dinner for my husband and all seven of us were very happy with put meal and the service.  We have steamers, calamari and garlic bread appetizers, and a few drinks to start.  Meals were 10 oz filet with fingerling potatoes and steamed vegetable, steak was perfectly cooked and very tasty, grilled salmon with rice and veg was great, jambalaya was awesome just enough heat without taking away from the taste, maple glazed roast pork was amazing (it was the table favorite) salmon and a perfectly cooked risotto (that from a picky risotto eater).
My son-in law- baked a birthday cake and our waiter put it in the refrigerator until we were ready for it.  He brought the cake out & lit the candles so we could sing happy birthday.
We were seated at the upper level at a great table next to the windows which was great for the view and for having conversations.  The lower level would have been to noisy for conversation.
Our server (Doug) was very attentive but not annoying.  When we needed drinks or food or plates cleared he was there.  He had a really great upbeat attitude and knew the menu and food enough to make good recommendations.
Overall great time with family and friends, we'll be back
One more thing - The Shoreline area where this place is located is really active with live music, great shops & places to drink.  Great place to take a date or to spend the day with family.

Came here with BF's family for Father's Day dinner awhile back (I am super behind with reviews!) and it was....decent? Parking was crazy and we just did valet instead of circling forever.

The food was actually pretty decent. I had the chilean sea bass (or patagonian toothfish if we're going to be honest) and it was lovely! I tried bits from other plates and everything tasted okay. So why 3 stars? For the prices and views, I would have expected better service. Service was RIDICULOUS. Our waiter took forever to get our orders..he checked in maybe once when we got our food...then disappeared forever. When it came time for dessert, we asked what flavor sorbet they had. "Let me go double check." I would say I'd give them 5 minutes to find out, check with other tables, and then report back. He was gone for an insanely long time and when he finally came back, he put in our order. How long does it take to scoop out ice cream and sorbet? A really long time apparently! They had raspberry and strawberry on the menu that night and we asked for strawberry. Nope. Got raspberry. The wait had been so long that we just didn't bother and ate it. (Not like he bothered to check in anyway!) I think if the service hadn't been so terrible, this place would have made a better impression. But I'm under the impression that with high price tags comes better service and this just wasn't the case here.

Celebrated my anniversary here just last night with my bf and sat at a booth with a great view of the Queen Mary! Kristine was our waitress and was super friendly and did a fantastic job on always checking up on us and making suggestions on food & drinks when it was time to order. As our appetizer we shared the seared ahi,  I ordered from the Pre-fix menu and got their pecan-crusted sea bass w/spinach, garden salad and cheesecake! My bf ordered the seafood linguine and lobster tail ...heaven!! The sauce was on point and had so much flavor to it!

As I walking to the restroom on the second floor, I passed up on what looks like a great seating section for mainly drinks and socializing which is ideal for bday gatherings ..it was also separated with a sheer curtain so it gave that bottle service /VIP feel to it too!

Haven't been here yet for happy hour but I def plan on it very soon!

The food is good, i just think for the price the plates are a bit small. However eating outside by the water with the beautiful view and heat lamps made up for it. Exceptional service. HIGHLY SUGGEST TO MAKE RESERVATIONS!

If you are visiting Long Beach or live nearby and want one place you KNOW you'll have a good experience and amazing food, go here!!!!

Having said that, it's based on my one and only time there last weekend.  It's summertime, so we sat outside for dinner which consisted of 3 of their sushi cut rolls for the two of us to share.  While sushi is hands down my favorite food, I am NOT easily pleased.  The rice has to be perfect.  The fish has to be fresh with flavor.  I do not disguise sushi with sauces so I am going to know whether it's good or not!

    Their sushi is AMAZING.
Here are the 3 sushi rolls we ordered:
    -Ceviche
-Garlic Miso (with the dressing on the side)
    -LiteHouse

We didn't say a word (OK, other than sounds of yummmm) until we were finished.  If we weren't so full we would have ordered all of them again.  I don't know that I can rate them in order since all 3 had very different flavors and were equally good.  If you like ceviche (and that cilantro taste), then you will LOVE this roll.  If you don't, I would not recommend it.

View & ambiance are great.  Service is great too, but personally I'm not a fan of too much attention which our waiter gave us.  It was annoying but I think he got the hint that once again we were 'fine' and left us alone for the remainder of the time!  He was super attentive and sweet.

I would like to try other dishes there since their sushi was so good, but I don't think that's ever going to happen.  When I go back, it's going to be a repeat.

    Enjoy!

I forgot to write a review for your Parker!

I had come here twice, once with my family and the other on a date. I can say both experiences were well worth the price I paid. Both times I came here, I ordered the swordfish fish with a side of baked potato. The prices are hefty however the quality of food you get is beyond chain restaurants. Oh swordfish how much I miss your flavor and sweetness of the mango sauce yum =P. If you plan to come here on a date or a special event, make sure you book on the main top floor with a window view, as the setting is very romantic. You get a full view of the queen mary, lighthouse, and long beach in general. Oh and their sample bacon cheddar biscuits are very delicious, just be careful not to get carried away or you may not have space for your entree! As for their wine selection, they have a variety of wine for red and white lovers. Including champagne, Dom Perignon you can't go wrong!

The food, the server, and the location were very good. We sat outside which had a wonderful view. It does get very loud inside the restaurant!!!!

This restaurant is perfect for out-of-towners. You can request a seat outside and get an amazing view of the ocean, lighthouse, and palm trees... So definitive of the SoCal stereotype! (This place is especially romantic during summer nights when the sun sets during dinner time.)

We ordered a dozen half-shell oysters, which were all very fresh.

They even have a prix-fixed menu of 3 entree selections at $35 per person.

The wine selection was amazing, and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the wine. He gave us very good recommendations on which type of Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc to choose based on our preferred flavor types.

It's right by the pier so it was not too fancy, but a very pleasant night on the town.

My husband and I found this restaurant to be perfectly delightful. We had an early 11am lunch. The crab cake sandwich was "out of this world" delicious. I am a seafood lover and know good seafood, as I was raised in New Orleans. This crab cake matched the delectable taste of New Orleans with the  mild Cajun spice. The taste of the lump crab meat was fresh The view was fabulous and the breeze was wonderful. There was some modern soft jazz playing in the background, which added to the relaxing experience. The service was excellent. While they were not busy on a Sunday at brunch time, I would highly recommend this dining experience on the outdoor porch. It gave me the full feeling of being on a beach vacation and being in-love with my wonderful husband. I will be back, Parker's Lighthouse. This time I'm bringing my friends.

I have been here before and had an OK experience, but this time was awful. My party & I were out in Long Beach whale watching & decided to go eat at the lighthouse. We didn't have reservations, and it being a Saturday evening, there was a long wait. We figured no problem we would wait, the hostess asked us if we would like to eat outside or inside, and being that my friend and I were in dresses, we were already a bit chilly, so we said inside. After nearly an hour, our pager went off, and when we followed the waitress, she lead us OUTSIDE :( We reminded her kindly that we wanted inside seating and she argued and said: NO you said outside, we laughed and said we are in dresses and it is cold, we are sure we said inside. She was rude and said well, I am going to have to put you on the list all over again. We were so upset we decided to leave without eating. HORRIBLE hostess!

Wonderful food; the Chilean Sea Bass, Filet & Crab Stuffed Shrimp were all FANTASTIC!!  The staff was all kind, helpful & accomodating; our server, Seymore, was a true gem - he is everything a waiter should be and more!
The patio dining offered amazing views & a wonderful live guitarist.
I was so beyond impressed by this restaurant I am now looking to plan a family member's wedding there!

Can't wait to go back and sample more of what the menu has to offer (note: go early & enjoy some hreat Happy Hour Specials in the Bar!).

We like the location and the food has been generally good. The service is good as well. Parker's is a place we like o go to for a special night out at shoreline.
The sushi menu is good but pricey.

They used to have lobster taquitos that we loved. We are sorry they don't have them still. We recommended most but  stay away from the fried items. T

Want a quickie? 2 1/2. Incomparable view, friendly staff, nicely textured cheesecake (with questionable cherry topping) are pluses. But then there's the fish. The Mariner's plate had something probably once recognizable as mahi-mahi. Big portion, cooked to oblivion. Sourdough rolls gave the jaws another opportunity to exercise. Next time, we'll get drinks and soak up the atmosphere.

My boyfriend and I went here for dinner the other night and we both really enjoyed ourselves. The ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful and the view is beautiful. I ordered the scallops with mushroom risotto which was quite delightful. The risotto was cooked perfectly and the scallops were delicious. My boyfriend ordered the crab stuffed shrimp wrapped in bacon with mashed potatoes and asparagus. He loved it! The mashed potatoes and asparagus were just alright, but he loved the shrimp.

We stayed at the nearby Hyatt and wanted to catch the NCAA game over dinner. The staff accommodated us by taking us upstairs to the bar, cause the downstairs bar was full. We got complimentary sushi and appetizer bites from the chef, impeccable service from the bartender and our server. We watched the entire game there at the bar, had drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert (due to overtime). The best service I have gotten at a restaurant. We were the only ones upstairs for about an hour, mind you, but it was great. We got to watch the game and drink beer in a very posh, formal setting, being waited on hand and foot. I ended up spending a little over $200 (it was my fiance's birthday), but it was well spent.

It's too bad the food here is terrible, because the ambiance and service were actually very good.  One star each for great views and a very nice server.

The menu looks amazing, but unfortunately the actual quality and taste of the food lived up to its mediocre reputation in some other reviews.  I don't know why someone else was raving about the scallops with mushroom risotto, must be someone who has never eaten scallops anywhere else (they're not supposed to taste like bleach) and who thinks a sticky blob of rice-a-roni is what risotto should taste like.

Hubby broke his vegan diet to treat me to birthday dinner here, and his bland Chilean sea bass was not worth the sacrifice.  The best thing we had was the freebie piece of cheesecake that was probably made somewhere else and simply cut and served there.  Even the wine I had was disappointing.

I'd go back to enjoy a sunset drink with a view and MAYBE try an appetizer (with low expectations), but not again for a meal.  If you're going to spend a decent amount of money on a meal like this, go somewhere that knows how to cook a piece of fish with some flavor (Kincaids or Blue Water Grill in Redondo Beach both have fabulous views as well as good food).

A really lovely restaurant overlooking the ocean perfect for a romantic lunch or special celebrations. Highlights - Great service and wonderful cheese bread appetizer. ;)

Between our family of 4, we went all out and ordered a ton of goodies from the menu.
    APPS:
    - Definitely start with the cheese bread. We actually didn't order this to begin with, but our waitress asked us "would you like to start off with some cheese bread?" And thinking it was the complimentary bread basket, we said, "why not". Turned out it was an item on the menu. HA!! At least it was inexpensive and delicious.

    - Tuna appetizer - crusted and lightly fried, the tuna app was a nice blend between a light seafood dish and a heartier one. Good flavors with the sauce.

    - We ordered a special sushi roll to start and were all amazed at how delicious the sushi here actually was!! Definitely consider that when you order!

    Entrees:
    - The Chopped salad was great. It actually had a lot more seafood than I expected and those bacon bits definitely enhanced the meal!

    - Salmon burger...not so impressive. It was a little messy and the salmon patty was minced up salmon with a bunch of fillers, not a filet of fish, as we had originally thought.

We'd probably come back again for the great atmosphere! Prices were not cheap, but actually really reasonable for the location, setting, atmosphere, service, and quality of food. Would probably try different sushis and get the cheese bread again! :)

Oh my goodness!  The service was awesome... The food was awesome and the view was awesome.  Not cheap (three people with desert was $130 not including tip) but well worth spoiling once in awhile!  Daughter had the fish and chips and loved it.  I had the chicken/shrimp jambalaya and OMG it was spot on.  Hubby had the Mariner Platter and it was great  (it's over a bed of rice and veggies).  Dessert was also great!  M daughter and I split the Key Lime pie (thank goodness because it was big- but wonderful). Hubby had the creme brûlée and it was perfect - sweeter than ones he's had before.

Will come back to this one when we are in town again

This is my favorite restaurant in the entire world. My husband takes me here 2 or 3 times a year and I always order the scallops because they are absolute perfection. The Chilean Sea Bass is also a treasure. They just did a remodel and it looks amazing. The staff is always exceptional and the view is gorgeous.

    Favorite restaurant.

Came here with my family for a weekend brunch. The service was very nice and I would recommend sitting outside with the view of the Queen Mary.

They validate parking. But a heads up. For the weekend they open a bit late I feel for brunch 11am.

I've been here 3 times for business dinners and have tried the steak, mariner platter, scallops and all of their apppetizer /  hour d'vourves.

Service:  Excellent, drinks always filled and the wait staff is courteous.

Food:  Not great. The salmon was cooked just right but have noticed several instances where the scallops are served pink.

Desert:  Creme Brule was soggy and pretty forgetful. Cheesecake was ok, nothing to rave about.

Considering the price, I wouldn't return.

Long Beach doesn't inspire many visits for me, but when you get the call from So-Cal to visit, you listen.  I was there for a conference, and I tacked on the weekend with my fiancee and I wanted to venture out a bit.  Parkers' Lighthouse is not hard to miss.  Duh, its the lighthouse thing at the end of the pier!

Touristy on the outside, very elegant and widespread vision on the inside, and a fantastic outdoor seating area that overlooks the water.  I can only imagine what it looks like on a bright sunny day, or cool evening, because the weather outside that day we had lunch was raining.  Beautiful winding staircase in the middle, with the kitchen hidden somewhere, not like how some modern places put it where the plain eye can observe.

Onto the food, major props to the chef as we enjoyed a fabulous array of sushi rolls for an appetizer, bento box for my main meal, my fiancee had a fantastic soft-shell crab sandwich that was perfectly seasoned and crispy, and plate of sorbet that was plated so nicely that we didn't want to touch it.

I want to come back for happy hour to kick it for the outdoor seating and decent pricing, but also for dinner when I want to splurge on some of the surf and turf type menu.  You won't be disappointed!

Went for the view & quality food... With validation 1st 2 hours are free.

When I arrived was told wait about 20 minutes. After waiting 10, noticed a private sitting area behind curtains. Hostess informed me it was part of the lounge and she'd let someone know I'm there.

After watching several workers go by who did not stop, I went to the restroom, this was about another 20 minutes. So I went to the hostesses who was surprised no one came by, said she'd have the manager come by also.

I went back, then straight to the bar area to get someone's attention, she said she didn't know I was there. I told her the hostess said she would inform when I first sat down.

She came over & took my drink order, which was just water (I was actually ready to order). Another 10 minutes went by waiting for my water, so I went to the restroom again, when I returned my water was there, but not the waitress. By this time, I had been there about an hour & hadn't ordered! So when she returned, I just ordered crab cake appetizer & soup.

Eventually the manager stopped by and I explained what happened, he said they were having some type of convention, but noted it was not an excuse. He was very attentive and came back several times personally serving me. He offered me a free dessert, but because my 2 hours were almost up, had to get it to go, and barely made it out in time. Crab cakes were delicious, as well as the soup...but it was more like a fight than service.

( note: there was a couple in the private sitting area right  next to me, who was served several times while I was there)

I took a date here the other night. Parker's is a great place to have a nice meal or drink with an amazing view of the water and downtown. We had a lovely meal with a very romantic atmosphere. I see on Yelp that they had lobster corndogs. I wanted that appetizer but unfortunately it's seasonal. Well.....I'll have to go back I guess.

The food is always fresh. I am always a fan of this place. It has been here forever, they serve something for everyone.

Excellent prixe fixe  menu (1st course) White Clam Chowder, one of the best in SoCal. (2nd Course)  White cod on a bed of spinach with a kobocha puree. Absolutely perfectly cook. Firm, skin-on and mildly seasoned.  The sweetness of the squash enhanced the the savory and succulent dish. (3rd course) Creme Brulee - crisp on top and perfect underneath!

Jambalaya was also ordered. Perhaps this dish is best left for the Big Easy. If this is your first time to Parkers Lighthouse. Order something other than the Jambalaya. There's so many other things to try. I've had better.

Chirashi Sushi - fresh, firm varieties of fish. I know this fish was in the ocean just yesterday. Presentation was delightful.

Filet mignon - I believe we were served someone elses steak. However, management quickly brought the correctly prepared steak.

Tip: Book a table at sunset. It just sets the mood... *wink *wink*

Service usually is prompt and I always look forward to going to dinner here or grabbing a bite.

On a side note, the table condiments can use some housekeeping and the way the tables are prepared for turnover can be improved with training. The sugar bowl had dried splashes of soy sauce. (I asked for sugar bowl to be removed from the table and come back).  Table ware are set up on the headrests of booths while a table is cleared. Then, the busser with the same dirty hands sets the table. For some reason that bothered me to know: (1) people put their head there and forks and napkins are waiting, then (2) His hands just cleared a table, set white paper on the table cloth and grabbed the tableware to set the table. (I would suggest everything be kept rolled in the paper until ready to set.)

Nice location, nice wine selection, good service.

The sushi however, is one of the best kept secrets in LBC. I'm a fan of the sashimi platter. The fish is fresh and expertly prepared. Tsunemono, and miso are awesome.

    The bread is fantastic!

My boyfriend took me on this trip  to Parker's and it  was awesome.. It was my Birthday and the server was great!  We enjoyed the artichoke  for an appetizer . We shared  a bottle of Voigner Zaca Mesa 2009  wine, and My entree was the Diver Scallops with Mushroom Risotto and Chive Butter. The Scallops were large, and plentiful. The chive butter was not overbearing and I ate every morsel of the creamy mushroom risotto. It was so delicious!  My boyfriend had the Salmon stuffed with shrimp and crab and it was also just delicious. We shared a side order of asparagus as mine did not come with a vegetable.  We shared Sorbet for desert which came with a candle for my birthday wish.

Parker's lighthouse has always been a go-to place for me, and years ago, I had the very best lobster ever .. when they used to have the kitchen open and you could watch them grill on the wood fire grill.   The place has changed a lot and the food has only gotten better with Age.  Will be returning here. Had the most wonderful birthday dinner, with a great view of the Queen Mary . Give them a try if you haven't been in a long time. You will be pleasantly surprised!

Excellent food! Chilean Sea Bass is always a favorite of ours! The scallops with risotto were great! The Surf N Turf was very good. The filet was cooked perfectly although the lobster was kind of thin. It wasn't as meaty and fluffy as I'm used to at other places. The calamari appetizer was also good although nothing particularly special.

The desserts were great. The key lime pie was visually appealing but it was hard to eat an entire bite with the topping lime and crust since it was so tall. The Fuji Apple Cobbler was perfect with the biggest scoop of ice cream I've ever seen! All in all, a great meal!

I've been here several times on business.  Alex is an incredible waiter.  The sea bass melts in your mouth!  And the view of the Queen Mary is great too!
Only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is the hostess staff is not friendly and can not estimate an accurate wait time if it kills them!

I've been coming to Parker's Lighthouse for years, the food is delish and the views are beautiful. My sister was in town visiting and staying nearby so we decided to stop in on a Friday for happy hour. Their happy hour menu is pretty awesome they have a variety of foo ranging from burgers to sushi. I went with the catch of the day sandwich which was salmon...my fav! I also went with the sweet potato fries and a glass of Riesling. Me and my sis had a great time catching up and enjoying the ambiance...this seems like a popular place for the after work crowd and I see why :-)

The parking wasn't bad either, I believe they validate up to 2 or 3 hours...I was a little over my time but I only had to pay $1! I will definitely try to make an effort to make it back to this spot more often.

I love the Queen Mary and here we were sitting in the Parker's Lighthouse looking at her as we ate. What an absolute treat! It's a beautifully designed restaurant with surrounding windows offering gorgeous views of the water everywhere you look.
It's truly a lovely restaurant with nice servers. My partner had a Caesar Salad, which was OK (they need to work on its presentation) but the homemade chips were 5 star worthy.
I ordered a club and at $14 it was short on the turkey and bacon. Filled with thick slices of avocado and a pale-looking cheese, it was quite bland tasting. In consideration of this, I feel $14 is too much to ask.
For enjoying Long  Beach and The Queen, we will definitely be returning.

PS: I received a very nice note from the general manager shortly after posting my review. He thanked me for visiting and promised to share my comments with his staff. That speaks volumes.

Very elegant, yet touristy restaurant located along Shoreline Village Drive in the marina district of downtown Long Beach.

It's tough to beat the view from Parker's Lighthouse, and that is obviously what attracts so many people to this popular restaurant located along the waterfront. Every window has a spectacular view either back towards downtown Long Beach, or out towards the Pacific Ocean.

Reservations are a must, since the restaurant fills up quickly, and the waits can be quite long. We made our reservation right through the online Yelp app, but I see that you can also make an Open Table reservation the same way.

We were there for a Happy Hour / early dinner, and even with a reservation we had to wait a short while. We sat in the bar until the buzzer went off, so it was not a big issue.

The menu is "inspired by the Pacific" with extremely fresh local seafood, and including fresh wild Alaskan fish, local day boat caught fish and Hawaii's freshest fish. Parker's is also proud to be one of the first restaurants to participate in Aquarium of the Pacific's Seafood for the Future program, serving a variety of sustainable seafood dishes.

For my appetizer I had Roasted Artichoke (Yeah, I was on an artichoke kick this trip), and that was oven-baked, stuffed with Dungeness crab and spinach dip, and served with a tomato caper fondue sauce. Holy Wow!!!!

For my main course I had the Mesquite-grilled Mahi Mahi (sustainable!!!!) served over a medley of grilled veggies and rice pilaf, and topped with a shrimp and scallop brochette. Excuse me while I have another moment recalling this phenomenal plate of seafood.

A nice glass of Chardonnay, and a gorgeous Southern California sunset over downtown Long Beach made for a wonderful dinner. Thankfully we walked from our hotel, so we were able to walk off most of the dinner on our way back!

This review is solely for the Happy Hour and Mother's Day Brunch.  We couldn't afford going here as much as we do if we didn't do happy hour.  My family goes out once a week so we're big fans of stretching our finances so that we aren't broke but can enjoy ourselves and get the kids out of the house.  And Parker's is truly the way to go.

The first time we came here was for Mother's Day Brunch.  I honestly didn't want to do the whole brunch thing because it's too cliche but the decided last minute to join the masses.  After a good 30 minutes of calling around Parker's Lighthouse was actually open at 9am and happily said they would seat a walk in for Mother's Day!  Yay!

We had the best seat and the best view, overlooking the harbor and the Queen Mary.  The brunch was amazing, I think I ate till I got tired cause we seriously were there for about 3 hours.  The server was awesome and he still works there and knows our names, unfortunately we don't know his.  Our kids were free, I had not one mimosa glass that was empty and I left drunk and satisfied.  (It was mother's day, don't judge me).

Because of that experience, I figured they may have a happy hour and since our kids loved the place and the place seemed to love our kids, we all went as a family again.  They've revamped the menu since the first time we went to Happy Hour but we still loved the happy hour menu.

Their sushi is pretty good and decent for happy hour prices.  There's clearly sushi that's just as good and cheaper in other places, but we go there knowing we aren't really going for the sushi since it's not a sushi restaurant.  Their happy hour rolls average $2.50 to $4.50.  My husband gets various raw rolls and is always satisfied.  Plus you can't beat $1.50 for miso soup.

I'm a shrimp fan and so is my 5 year old son, so I always order the scampi and the coconut prawns.  Coconut prawns are fabulous and only $5.  My 5 year old will ask for the prawns himself when ordering.

The scampi is $6.50 and looks small but with the oh-so-delicious sauce and the piece of garlic bread it's actually all that I need.  Of course I order more, actually the side of their garlic cheese bread for an additional $2.50 and dip in the sauce and it's more than enough.  I'm not a bread person but I highly recommend their garlic cheese bread.

We also order the $3 hot garlic potato chips and it's always a hit with the kids.  Plus good enough portioned to share with everyone at the table.

Their kids menu is a little expensive but then again, their dining menu is a little expensive.  One kid entree is all you need for 2 small kids.  We order the Linguine Alfredo for the kids and then end up taking some home for left overs.

Drinks are actually a little pricy for happy hour.  I'm a wine lover and will pay $7 for their Cabernet blend which is very tasty.  They change their wine and we go there so often that once and a while a server who knows us will let me taste their upcoming wine.  Now THAT is a sweet deal.

Our happy hour bill averages $50 with tip which is more than enough to feed our whole family quality food in a beautiful ambiance with servers who care about us and are always consistently friendly even when they are backed up.

We've had a few slower servers here and there, and some gliches but nothing detrimental that will take away from the food or the overall service.  One of these days we'll be able to afford their dinner but for now we LOVE their happy hour and are huge fans of Parker's Lighthouse for their Happy Hour.

    ** My Tips:

    *  Happy hour is 4-7pm - the extra hour helps a lot if you're working overtime

    *  Outdoor seating is limited but is open even when it's freezing.  We prefer taking the kids to outdoor seating for noise control and they put on the heat lamps full blast and then the experience feels somewhat exclusive.

What's great about this place is the location: it's on the edge of the pier and the view towards the Queen Mary is beautiful, especially at night. The heat lamps help keeping you warm and comfortable while you enjoy your food and view.

What didn't work so well for me is the cost of food, it's a bit over what I am used to spending and therefore I expected a heartier plate (extra sides like veggies or something creative).

I got the 1/2 Chicken, the skin was crispy, the chicken was tender, and the buttered mashed potatoes were good, the overall quality was great.

I also ordered the Spinach Artichoke $15, but it was not what I expected. I thought it was a dip, which would come with chips or bread slices but it is served as an artichoke in half and stuffed with the spinach and the rich cream underneath. It was okay, but I don't think I would order that again. I would like to try the fried calamari, but they were running low.

I suggest making a reservation because they do get busy, but I would also recommend looking at their menu prior, just so nothing comes as a surprise.

Parker's Lighthouse was delicious and such a beautiful place to dine. I ate a $5 cup of clam chowder and shared a bottle Sayuri sake with my friend. The clam chowder was really very scrumptious. it came in a cute little cup on a doily and saucer to add a nice flare. the dish didnmt need it though. it could have come in a foam cup and I would still have been more than satisfied. I tried sake for the first time here. It was very smooth and satisfying, and cool. As I said before, I shared the bottle with my friend and we both got 2 and 1.5 shots each. It was only $10! Great steal. They provided bread and butter, which wasn't the best I've had, but it was still appetizing. My friend shared her calamari with me. It was fried to a nice and crisp golden brown. They paired it with a mustardy dip. I prefer marinara with my calamari, but the dip was still alright.

Our server was very nice and attentive. The view was gorgeous, as we sat on the deck because the weather was so refreshing.

If I ever come back to Long Beach, this is one place I definitely would love to come back to!

I had a great dinner with my family at Parkers' Lighthouse.  Our server, Mike Smalls made the experience all the more memorable.  He was really friendly, and had great menu recommendations.

I was not sure what to expect out of the location, being that it's in a heavy tourist area.  But, the experience was top notch - it is similar to the Chart House, or Gladstone's.  The menu is fairly diverse, and it delivered on all fronts.

The location provides a killer view of the harbor, and specifically, the Queen Mary.  Our table, on the second floor, looked directly at the Queen Mart.  They also have a really nice outside section which was crowded.   They have a variety of craft beers, I enjoyed the Atticus IPA, and my wife had the butterfly martini, which she liked, a lot!

    6 oz. lobster - A (succulent)
    Unagi hand role - B+
    Crunchy roll - B
Coconut Prawns - B (little greasy)
    Chirashi Bowl w/sushi - A (love this)

This is a great place to conclude the day while in Long Beach, this was my first visit, but it will not be my last.  Super cool view of the boats, my kids enjoyed our seats.
