I've been here on several occasions (looking for a drunken good time - for which I got). Â Last Friday my mother and I had early but VERY light dinner at Parkers Lighthouse...(good but not great). Â Anyway...we didn't want to go home so we walked to the Mai Tai Bar from there. Â Upon arrival - the very fantastic bartender JOSH gave me prompt attention. Â I can't for the life of me recall what choice of booze my mother was looking for - but they had it so we sat down and enjoyed a few cocktails. Â We decided to order their grilled fish tacos. Â THE http://BOMB.COM might I add. Â We ended up ordering 2 plates they were sooo good. Â Yeah - even though we just left Parkers....the tacos were awesome. Â While the place at around 8pm was not heavily packed...it was utterly nice to have Josh be so attentive to us that evening. Â They have live entertainment... sooo good I told mom we have to tip. Â Mind you...i have NEVER in my 30+ years tipped any singer or musician at any bar. Â He was very good.
All in all - nice evening spent with the only woman I love more than myself. Â We ended up leaving the car overnight and took a cab home. Â Left a sign in the windshield saying tooo drunk to drive hoping the parking lot people wouldn't have us towed...and they didn't. Â THUMBS up to to the Shoreline Village parking lot people!
Good place to hang out...not overcrowded....just right for a Friday nite.
Give them a try....
This is a place where you can go to and grab a few drinks with buddies and enjoy the view of the water. They have a nice patio and the vibe is best on SATURDAYS. Fridays are ok, but other places may have a better atmosphere depending on what you are looking for.
Mixed crowd, but good! Would definitely recommend on a Saturday night compared to going to Hollywood where it is crowded and busy... that's if you want to relax and just have a good time.
