Baddeley's Pourhouse

In the past I have gotten along great with everyone who works there, even the owner, who is SUPER laid back and nice, but for some reason the bar tender (D) clearly had some misunderstanding about something I said, I tried to clear it up at the time because I heard her all on the defensive and as I tried to explain she was just very rude and cut me off continuously.   So she leaves me be and I finish my third beer, and head to order food from the Thursday food truck right outside, and I come back after walking around actually a while later and find an open spot at the bar and out of the blue I'm told by D I need to leave.

This must stem from her being mad at me earlier and just now that she is stressed she is kicking me out.   I heard her say way earlier, "I don't like people talking shit on my employees!"   --   (I mentioned to a guy eating popcorn that it sucks when they accidentally burn the popcorn using this pop corn machine they have and I was just saying kind of along the lines of don't you hate the smell of burned popcorn?  I clearly wasn't saying they don't know how to make popcorn.)  -- So that was what I said...  But hey, it's a bar, you are supposed to chat and have fun and it was a friendly chat between patrons so for the bar tender to start drama I felt it was really unprofessional...

I go to get some food from a food truck and I come back to the bar because I had had only a few beers and I wanted one more...  Dani kicks me out angrily with this crazy sort of angst that no one understood, and it was mortifying having everyone at the bar stop what they were doing and stare at me wondering what horrible offense I had partaken in.   I mean, everyone is staring at me thinking I did something crazy otherwise why would a bar tender ever do that to you?!?!    So wrong.

The owner even tried to stand up for me, but I understand the bar tender has last say, but ya, Kevin was like, "Hey just let the guy use the bathroom he's waiting for his food, he's not doing anything", and of course I stayed away after I wasn't even let use the bathroom before I left.   I was just like what did I do in front of Kevin and Leah who is another one of the bar tenders bursts out that I was taking shit on the bar and I was 86'd.   So obviously this stemmed from me saying I don't like burned popcorn to someone at the bar, where Dani had started going off earlier.

So it can go from good times to ugly pretty quick.   One time the bar tender Jason took offense to something I said, but he simply cut me off for it, so I drank water and I started no drama, no big deal.   After being a regular I never expected to be treated with disrespect over a misunderstanding.   I even tried to apologize saying it wasn't something to take offense about and it wasn't even a big deal.   I wasn't talking shit on the bar, I even picked up a t-shirt from here a while ago because I go there so much.   I can't say I will represent Baddeley's again after this.

Eek! Methinks not!   :*(   I am so upset by this because it just really feels unprecedented.  

I feel it is just shameful the way she was threatening to call the cops when I stood at the door just asking to clear this up with the owner since it was all an obvious misunderstanding.   So then I'm waiting for my food on the sidewalk and from inside the bar I hear the bar tender shouting my name angrily wanting me to leave the area.   I just ignored it because hey, I'm enjoying my birthday and waiting on a public sidewalk for food I ordered from the food truck there.   I calmly explained to everyone curious what happened and they could tell I was sincere.   Maybe they understand the stress of being a bar tender but you need to keep your cool.    After we ignored her she quieted down and went back to serving drinks, but ya it was a little bit much.   I feel really bad about the whole thing but if this could happen to me it could happen to anyone so I had to Yelp!

I wish I could give it another chance but as you can see it was horrendous.   I guess I'll hit the other bars around as I've never had any bad experience like this anywhere in my life.

Just ducked in for a cold one a few weeks ago.

Worst employees I've ever witnessed at a bar.  At 1:50am, a barback, or busboy (a young guy with brown hair) came up and took my girl's drink off the table that she hadn't finished drinking.  Then when I went to chug the rest of my beer he started making rude comments to me to instigate a conflict.  When I told him we would never be back, he shouted "Good we don't want you here!"  Then began yelling from inside the bar when my group had left and were outside.  WORST BAR EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.  Do not go here!
