Looked like a fun spot but it was dead at 9 on a Sunday.  Maybe I've just lived in a city that has something going on for far to long, but that just didn't seem like a good thing.  We tried to stop by again on a Tuesday and it look like they were closed.  Not sure what's going on here but seriously??

The restaurant is delicious. I had the best pork chop with mashed and broc that I've ever had. Classic meal done perfectly. Super cute waiters. They were big and fuzzy ^_^

The bartender was really nice as well, but he seemed overly busy for no particular reason since there was no one there. As I was leaving through the bar area, I noticed that the patrons were....reveling in being fancy. Not my scene, but amazing decor.

Havana and I started off on a bad foot when my husband and I both had to pay a cover to get in($5 a pop). Now, of course I've paid covers before, but usually it's for a club or a venue that has a cool band playing. This scenario however involved paying 30+ min before the music even started when we had intended to only go for dinner and wine.  Which brings me to my next complaint. Their website boasts having "90+ wines". I ordered three different Pinot Noir's....why three?? Well, because each time the waitress came back to tell me they were out. Finally, I asked her to please give me a list of which reds they had available and she came back with....THREE!! Only three reds available out of over a dozen on menu? Seriously? To make matters worse they were all over $15 a glass (there were cheaper ones on the menu but none of these were available).

They also were out of the first two beers my husband ordered - IPA and  Bass. You can imagine how irritating this was, considering their "expansive" wine and beer list was a big influence on our choice to come here. For dinner I had the ham and Gruyere cheese sandwich, which was pretty good, but not enough to make up for the restaurant's other lacking components.

I totally get having to pay a premium for eating in a desirable location or getting drinks at the new "in" place.   However, this establishment did not hold up its end of the deal. We ended up heading down the street to Cassidy's Irish pub which had live music with no cover, offered more wine/ beer on tap and had a better atmosphere (and cheaper drink prices!) Lesson learned!
