As far as Hooters franchises go, this is the best Hooters I've ever eaten at.
The food is great and trust me I've had some bad wings from other Hooters, but this place is consistently great. The food is freshly made and you can definitely tell.
The waitresses are friendly and upbeat. I had no idea that Hooters had a "Hands Off Approach," which basically means that you never pour your own beer and never open your own container so all you have to do is EAT! And this Hooters is definitely on top of that! Every time we would reach for our pitcher the waitress was always there to pour it for us. The staff is upbeat and friendly.
Whenever I go back to Ocean City, I will be stopping by for some good food and drinks! :D
We arrived around noon on Sunday and there was plenty of seating. Rating is based on consideration that this is bar food and not fine dining.
Service: 5
Staff was very friendly and fast. Service was excellent. I never thought of Hooters as a family restaurant but this place was very family friendly. They gave the baby a balloon with a nice little note on it and tied it to the stroller.
Food: 4
We ordered quesadillas, wings, fries and the new shrimp and spinach salad. Everything was very good. Everything came out hot as it should. Shrimp salad was simple but delicious and glad to see they have something somewhat healthy on the menu. Other thing I would change is that dressings and dips were all from a package. Shouldn't a place like Hooters be able to make their own dressings and dips and not serve up packaged?
Location/ Other: 4
Indoor and outdoor seating with A/C inside, unlike many places in OC MD that don't have A/C for the indoor seating. It is located in between 5th and 6th street so not a terrible walk from either end of the boardwalk.
My friend and I went here just the other day. Â We each got a Natty Boh for $2 each and shared an order of buffalo shrimp and the loaded tater tots. Â It was about an hour before close so it wasn't busy and we got seated right away. Â Our waitress was helpful and friendly and the food and drinks came fast. Â The food was bar food, so it wasn't spectacular, but it did the job.
Why the 1 star? Â Food poisoning. Â Enough said. (Not true, see update below)
Do not go to this Hooters on the boardwalk. Â If you must surf out a Hooters, maybe try the one about 10 mins down Coastal Hwy.

UPDATE
Okay, so it turns out I had the flu, not food poisoning. Â When my friend and I were both sick, we figured that's what was going on. Â Every time I thought about that fried shrimp that looked like it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day I got queasy. Â However, when I got back home from vacation, everyone around me started to get sick. Â So, I apologize...this place does not give you food poisoning.
I still wasn't super happy with everything, beer was kinda warm and served in a flimsy plastic cup. Â Food was dry and bland. Â Service was nice--she was chatty and pleasant. Â So I've upgraded to 2 stars.
2.5 stars
Myself and the boys were hungry and I wanted a burger with a view. On the boardwalk between 5th and 6th street rests a new Hooters restaurant.
I didn't have any complaints from my 18 year old son nor my 16 year old nephew.
We were seated inside and in no time our perky server Rachel was right on our every need.
I started with a shrimp quesadilla . It was OK, plenty of small whole shrimp with ample amounts of warm cheese, could use some more flavor though.
The Mushroom Swiss Burger I had was cooked medium rare as I requested yet was way too greasy, again lacked much flavor. The fries are good, cut from whole potatoes with skin on, not bad.
The kids had boneless wings and chicken strips. No complaints from them.
They had cans of Heineken which was a plus.
The check came to 55 bucks without tip.
Would do it again if convenient.
