Great place to go have fun, sing your heart out and have a few drinks and hang out with friends! Our server was actually awesome, very attentive and made some great drink suggestions.
However, you can smoke in the bar...which is difficult to stomach for the non-smokers and if you get there later, you will have a hard time finding a place to park. You can even get towed if you park at the surrounding restaurants. This is not the place to go and "talk" you won't be able to hear!
The best I have ever been. I have been to many of these establishments and some are good and some are just plain duds. This one was AWESOME!!! they had several performers with not only pianos, but they had guitars, drums, and back up singers. The drinks were flowing and the fun was had...
A must visit if you are in this part of town.
My husband and I took some friends from out of town to this place. We walked in and noticed it wasn't very packed, so we thought about going in and having a few cocktails and then on to the next. Well that wasn't the case. We all had such a great time. We almost closed the place down. Very entertaining and played some really great tunes. We even had a request that she didn't know, but was willing to look it up and did it last minute for us. Thanks so much for a great time!! We will be back.
Review Source:I partied like a Rock Star here. Â Do I remember much about that night - no, but I do know that I had a lot of fun. Â The drinks were everywhere. Â I bought a round, my friend bought a round, my niece bought a round. Then shots were coming our way. Â OMG - had the time of my life!! Â Plus the dueling pianos were excellent. Â Love this place it is a must when you go to Orlando, Florida. Â Had a great time.
Review Source:Went with some friends at 11pm to close on a weeknight. We were lucky enough to find a parking space right in front that was free, but there ended the good deals.
This place should be called Beggar's Bar. They take money from you at the door, they beg for tips from the stage, they beg for money to write on their board, and the worst of all they have a guy in the bathroom begging for money so you can use the sink to wash your hands.
If the drinks were't expensive enough, their selection of beer is pitiful. Only bottled beer...nothing interesting. About 30 selections which are all found in your local Publix.
Did I mention I HATE bathroom attendants? They LOCK the handicap stall so you can't use a sink without being bothered. I would hope that if you show some kind of handicap ID, they would let you use it. I don't want to pay $2 to use your soap when there is a perfectly good dispenser on the wall. And the paper towels are fine, thank you. Why don't people think it's creepy for a dude to hang out in the bathroom talking to people and begging for money from the guests?
Why 2 stars instead of 1? The music was fun, the performers were talented, but quit begging for money. Imagine a restaurant where the servers beg for tips. Give good service and people will tip you. Here is my tip....I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Too many other places to go on I-Drive that are fun.
Large drinks filled to the max live music by request played by a full band.
I was recently down here for vacation and stopped since I love the one in Kansas when I visit. The place was packed like most are but the quickly became one of the best night I have ever had which is part of the reason I gave only 3 stars.
The people performing gave one of the most amazing experiences rivaling high end concerts, the problem was that it was the crew from boston who happened to be in town. The guys need to be signed or doing something bigger because me and and my buddy were blown away.
2 days later we came back on our last night in town and lets just say the performances were very underwhelming. They were trying but they did not have the skills that the Boston crew had and it showed big time. I don't know if we would have come back a second time in one trip if this was the performers we saw the first time around
Been to the one on Bourbon Street and it was a blast. Â This venue not as fun. Â They kept giving me expired bottle beer which was gross. Â It was a cold night outside and they kept the front door open which made the place very cold. Â The signers were very good and did create a party atmosphere.
Review Source:I went here on one of my most recent trips to Orlando to celebrate my cousin's bachelorette party and a great time was had by all! Since we were there for the special occasion, we ordered a party package that included 2 large "bucket" drinks and some other party favors. Â The drinks were pretty tasty and the service was decent even though it was extremely packed in there by 12 o'clock. We were able to find a table large enough to accommodate our group of 6, which was great.
The dueling piano bar concept is really cool and it was a great experience to hear the music and meet new people. We used to have a howl at the moon in Tampa, but I never got to go to that location before it closed, so I will visit HATM next time I'm in the area.
What was once a staple in downtown Orlando, has become a tourist stop along I-drive. Â Best time to go is of course on Saturday. Usually the place is packed and the piano bar area is entertaining.
Ive been a few times, mostly to see if this place was anything like its downtown roots. Sadly it is not. Overpriced, weak or mixed drinks were no fun. Outside of Saturday the place was kinda dead.
Love this place! Â Always a fun time with some crazy wicked talent. Â Crowd is very unpredictable due to its proximity to the convention center. Â A little pricey unless you live in the area and have their HIP card! Â I probably wouldn't ever go if it weren't for the deals that gives me!
Best enjoyed with friends or you'll probably get bored.
As far as piano bars go, this one is not that great. Â It has a very cheap feel to it. Â They try and get people in by saying you won a raffle for two free drinks and access to their "buffet" which is really crappy food sitting on sternos. Â
The entertainment is not so much musical as it is more of an attempt to play some keys on the piano while making a dirty joke here and there and then once in a while playing a familiar song. Â I'd much rather go to Pat O'Brien's at Citywalk. Â Better drinks there and much better entertainment! Â
The parking here is horrendous too. Â There is no longer valet parking, and they have maybe 30 parking spots available for free. Â After those are filled within the first 20 minutes of the night, everyone else must park way in back AND pay $5 to do so...STUPID!
My friend and I were in Orlando for New Years and chose to spend NYE at Howl At The Moon. It was within walking distance from our hotel which was a huge plus. We chose the minimum cover charge of $20 which basically only got you in the door but hey, it was New Years Eve!
The atmosphere here was pretty high energy. I think I expected it to be a bit more crowded. There were lots of people but I expected it to be packed. I guess being a tourist I was unaware that maybe there was another locale that was perhaps a bit more happening. Nonetheless we had fun. We only attended for drinks. No food. It was standing room only. The live entertainment was great and played a wide variety of tunes. The price of drinks were about $5 each. The bar staff was fairly quick and accurate with our drink orders.
The layout of the bar seemed good although we didn't get a seat. Although it was hoppin' the staff managed to keep the floors and washrooms clean. Â
Overall I had fun at Howl At The Moon. I think I would have enjoyed it more if I splurged and got the V.I.P. pass and gone with a bigger group of friends but still was a decent way to spend New Years Eve.
Yeah it's touristy pricing and a touristy place but you're in Orlando! A fun place to have a good time and let yourself go. Entertainment is always top notch and they'll have you singing along in no time as you'll just get caught up in it. Staff is friendly enough and service is swift. Weekends are always packed and parking may be an issue but with a little walk, you should find your way. Good times.
Review Source:Great Experience here. I attended a few events during the week I was in Orlando and it was great. If  you have never been to a piano bar, you should check this one out.
If you do not know how piano bars work, let me give you a quick summary. Two piano players/singers take audience requested songs. Tips are expected with song requests  and songs with the bigger tips are performed first if not previously requested or performed before. Audience can be expected to sing-along and even get on the stage but it is not karaoke.
The layout here is good with tables/chairs in front of a stage with other seating options if you do not want to get too close.
The food is great and the service is excellent. A well stocked Nachos Station, Chili, Southwest Chicken Rolls, Ziti with sausage, Assorted veggies with Spinach and Artichoke Dip are available for the catered events I attended.
Fun times were had by all especially the drinkers with the drink specials.
Parking is limited so feel free to walk since it is close to quite a few hotels or you can take the transit system that runs on I-Drive. There is a stop near Howl at the Moon.
This is fun stop on I Drive for some lively dueling piano-bar entertainment.
There is a cover charge for admission. The drinks are average price for the area. Weekends are definitely the most lively unless there is a big convention going on at the surrounding hotels.
The place is loud and the entertainers can play almost anything that you suggest. Request will be more likely to be played for an accompanying tip :) If it is a busy evening, they will not play selections that have already been played, since they have many requests to choose from.
People love to sing along and there are times when the wait staff join in the singing/dancing to get the crowd involved. At this location, the crowd is primarily tourist traffic. The parking area is not large so this may be an issue on week end evenings.
I went there with a VIP party group with is free cover, two free drinks and a mini-food buffet.. reading other reviews and talking with people I knew said they are easy for the locals to win to bring in crowds. Being a local to the I-Drive area it is 5 mins. from me and I prefer anything over I-Drive if it is not priced too high....
This place IS priced for tourists and if i did not get free cover and two free drinks it probably would have been less "stars" for sure.
Stick to the Free Beer or Wine and they cannot be watered down (or watered down much) if you are buying drink again beer or wine, at $7.50 for a glass of wine (house merlot) at least you know you are getting what you pay for but I tend to think $4.00 is even steep for a glass of wine.
The place was fun and i have to give them that, very entertaining and again I base my review on this one time have gone there and not what others gripe about or what could have been if I did not have the free stuff.
The music started off decent - but by the middle of the night turned into an off-pitch, off-beat, mash-up of songs, young girls dancing with old men and ever increasing volume and horrible reverb and feedback.
Things could have been salvaged if the drinks weren't way over-priced & watered down (in-line with the other I-Drive tourist traps) - but unfortunately - that not was not the case.
Find a good piano / jazz bar anywhere off of the main I-Drive drag and I'm guessing you'll be treated to live music that's a bit classier and more refined than this place.
If, however, what you're looking for is a mini-club atmosphere, with a 10/90 split of decent to crappy music, with over-priced drinks and  average service - this is the spot for you!
Awesome fun time, great vibe, service-oriented staff, and the Manager, Chris Kelly, is an absolutely hospitable gentleman. Â Talk about the right guy for the job! Â He took his time to get to know all of the people in our party and ensure we had a great time. Â Which we did! Â You can tell he's been in the service industry for a while. Â Pretty rare, when you've been to as many night clubs/restaurants/bars as I have. Â This place is so much fun, and the prices are reasonable. Â Even though there's a cover on certain nights it's worth it for the entertainment value and actual FUN you get in return. Â
The Dueling Piano players were super talented and can play anything, even though none of us could sing worth a BEEP! Â Hahaha...awesome times. Â Thanks Chris and the rest of the staff. Â A highlight for us in O-town...can't wait to come back!
Thanks to friends winning Happy Hour parties, I have not had to pay for the cover or the first 2 (sometimes 3!) drinks of each night I've gone. And I've gone 3 times now in the last 2 months. Funnily enough, even though these parties are easy to "win" (as in, pretty much everyone wins) I still haven't won once! Hmmmmm.
Will I return w/o the special Happy Hour party? No. But it's not because Howl at the Moon sucks in any way. It's because I really dislike the International Drive area. So if HatM is located elsewhere, perhaps closer to downtown Orlando, I'd most likely return.
They have really good musicians that can play not only the piano but also other instruments available on stage: guitar, bass, drums, etc. But the best are the 2 bald guys. The female singers are pretty good, too. But the guy with hair isn't very good. I was glad when he finally left the stage after just an hour or so.
The drinks are just alright, but like others have said, when I did have to pay for them, are indeed overpriced. But what do you expect, really, when you're in an area notorious for being a tourist trap?
What comes with the Happy Hour parties?
- Free appetizer buffet from 6 to 8pm. It's usually been ingredients to make your own taco, meatballs, and cheese & crackers.
- First 2 drinks are free (basic beer and single-liquor cocktails)
- No cover
- If you are the host, and you get at least 25 friends to come, you'll get a free bone drink. More than 50 gets you a free bucket drink. Those are actually quite delicious (but definitely not strong).
The best time to arrive at this place if you really want to sit is between 6 and 630. That might sound lame, but if you really want to sit, that's what you'll have to do. All tables and stools get taken pretty much by 730pm (at least that's what I observed the nights I was there). This varies depending on how many reserved areas there are for that evening.
Also, they sometimes have an attendant in the bathroom. Honestly, that makes me uncomfortable, but just remember to bring some cash/change to be nice.
The bad thing about this place aside from the hassle of parking? They allow smoking inside. Ugh.
Party central.
You can howl or you can scream. Â The place is full of craziness and sing-a-longs. Â I had a Dr. Feelgood bone. Â The yard container was loaded with bacardi razz, orange, pineapple, and lemon juices, and grenadine. Â They got all kinds of specials going on and the place is a lot of fun. Â Dancing, singing, drinking, and more drinking is not an option. Â
Good times.
High cover charge, no drink specials, crappy singing, crowded, and smoking indoors. That pretty much covers the "highlights" of this establishment.
Upon arriving, it seemed like everyone was having a good time. The dualing pianists were performing "Party in the USA" by Miley Cyrus, in which I found hilarious and wonderful. I looked around for 10 minutes for somewhere....anywhere to sit and I couldn't find a spot. I stood at the bar to blow some time and finally my friend flagged down an open high-top 20 minutes later. I couldn't believe how expensive the drinks were for having a $10 cover charge. Even more so, I couldn't believe smoking was allowed indoors. I requested a song to be played by the pianist and left a $5 tip and yet my song still wasn't played. Instead, the pianist kept mentioning if you gave a $20 you could come up on stage and dance/sing along. Total tourist trap.
Rolled up with ~15 people and took over the joint on a Monday night. Safe to say it was too good of a night.
Warning: $6 cover (why? idk, not cool though...especially on a Monday, really man?)
The drink prices were reasonably priced. They have tequila shot for $5 and jello shots (which were in syringes) for $4 - decent.
I have never been to a dueling piano bar, but it was a lot of fun. You request for them to sing a song, and based on how much you give them, they'll either sing it or not. They rank importance of songs by how much money you give them. If you request a song for 5 bucks, for example, they'll more likely play it than a song you requested for $1. If you're looking for hip-hop, this ain't your place. It was more of oldies and maybe country....but the singers/pianists were really good. And if you love singing along to classics, you'll enjoy this to some degree. We even got to dance on the stage!
They also write messages on the mirror for money, which we took advantage of. It has the same kind of system as with making song requests.
I think these bells and whistles was what made our night memorable. Singing along to Sweet Caroline, putting messages on the mirror wall, jello shots, dancing on stage, semi-emptyish bar....good times combo.
If you're looking for a good time and wanting to get trashed, this is the place! A bit pricey, but you can expect to have a great time. Their mixed drink buckets is a killer. 4 or more can can drink off of it and its pretty huge. One time I saw a lady holding her own bucket and walking around.. you definitely know she was going to feel it the next morning.
The only downside is sometimes your song requests won't get played on a busy night, unless you are showing some major cash. I think the highest I ever paid was $20 only to be disappointed, never again! lol
Other than that, its really great to host a party there. You can request a party, which allow you to get up to 100 of your friends in for free between 5-9pm and they offer you free appetizers, 2 $1 selected drinks/beers and a discount on some specialty drinks, but only til 9pm, so you can be expected to be tapped out by 10-11pm, especially if you start at 5.
I came here as a friend of mine had won a "Happy Hour Party for 100" (which apparently with the right luck of the draw is really not that hard to win) what we thought would be at least a slightly different experience from that of a typical guest as dubbed by the prize ad instead turned out to be more so a marketing gimmick to fill the place up early then an actual "party", which ironically the place didnt really have much of a problem doing regardless of our large party, the place was standing room only within only two hours after early afternoon opening..
Now with the sour first impression above put aside, why did I give the place itself only 2 stars? A few a reasons;
Suprisingly smoking is allowed indoors here which is a big negative for us non-smokers, at one point the air quality becomes so poor that the smoke becomes reminicent of articifial fog that adds an effect to the stage lighting.. And to top it of, NO FOOD is served, I have yet to understand how this place gets away with the indoor smoking much less no food with alcohol, must be a legal loophole as most establishments that serve alcohol are required by law to serve food.. The entertainment is typical of most piano bars with a mix of classic piano bar hits and contemporary dance tracks to add some flare, entertaining but nothing really to write home about..
Also note, you will notice this place primarily caters to tourists considering the location (central I-Drive) so expect alot of convention peeps and tourists in general, not really a big deal but just dont expect a local scene here.. If your looking for a piano bar I would recommend a more local place like Baby Grands..
This is a dueling piano bar on International Drive, located toward the Orange County Convention Center. Â It sits right next to Orlando Icebar, down the block from WonderWorks, and a short walk from Pointe Orlando.
The attraction here is the music performed by the dueling pianos, although it is unconventional in the sense that occasionally there's a full band supporting the piano players. Â Also, they mix in quite a few dance tracks to keep the feel contemporary, and to get people out of their chairs.
If you're coming on the weekend, try to get here early if you want a decent place to sit. Â From that point forward, it is pretty much what you'd expect.
Perhaps best of all, Howl at the Moon offers a HIP card, which stands for Hospitality Insider Personnel (I think). Â The card gets you free admission and 1/2 price drinks at any time. Â Of course, you need proof that you work in hospitality. Â If you do, it's a great deal.
Insider tip: Not quite ready for the ruckus of a group singalong? Start with a few warm-up drinks at the new Brick House Tap & Tavern just down the block and across the street (moving away from Pointe Orlando). Â Brick House will impress you, and it is a nice balance to the somewhat gimmicky nature of a piano bar.
I've been to Howl at the Moon multiple times - it's just eh. I usually have a decent time, but it's nothing I'd write home to my mother about.
The drinks and entry fees are pretty expensive, but you can always win their parties and get deals on drinks and entry fees. They play the same music over and over again. The waiters/waitresses are usually friendly until they get rather busy and then they become a bit inattentive.
Their bathrooms are pretty dirty - people are always throwing up in that place (sorry for the bluntness). But if you enjoy piano bars, don't mind a crowd, or high prices, Howl at the Moon is fun place to go.
Ok - so this is where my "I'm from out of town/Get out of jail free" card comes in handy. Â haha.
A few friends and I came here after we finished our mini-golf game down the street because the manager/owner suggested that it might be a cool place to hang out. Â Afterall, it was only 9:30pm and was still early for a bunch of kids in their late 20's/early 30's. Â So we felt kind of "guilted" into staying out "late" and figured it wouldn't hurt (hell, we only had 7am flights to catch the next day - lol).
So we got to HATM and didn't see any possibility of getting charged a cover until we got through the door and was asked to hand over 10 bucks a pop. Â At this rate, we all thought this live piano dueling place better be good.
Alas, 90 minutes, a round of beers, 4 college fight songs (that cost the bidders $140), and half a dozen or so other songs later, we called it a night. Â The experience was kind of amusing given the things that we saw ... drunk girl making out with drunker boyfriend, toppling over and almost taking down the entire table with her; electric keyboards housed in the baby grand casings (NO folks, they are not really playing the piano -- sorry to have popped any bubbles), etc.
Now, before the folks who love this place get all up in arms, let me just say that I'm not denying the fact that these guys have talent ... it takes a hell of a lot of skill to memorize and play all the songs of all the different genres that they they do. Â BUT, if you are coming here expecting some key jammin' of the sort that I was expecting, this place is not going to deliver. Â On the other hand, for a harmless fun night, it's not too bad. Â Just be sure you have someone with you who will not let you pay a red cent to win a dumb bid.
My usual response to my friends when they ask if I want to go here is: "you must get me drunk first" haha. Â Seriously...this place is only fun when I have had a few drinks in me. Â
This place is NOT clean, it is LOUD, you can smoke and the drinks are weak. Â Overall it is a basic dueling piano bar and it's fun if you want to sing along and have a good laugh but you need to be in the mood for large, loud, obnoxious crowds =) Â And you have to be prepared for some embarrassment haha !
Howl at the Moon is a fake dive bar that disingenuously manipulates people's perception of the "soul" that a dueling piano bar may have. The dueling pianists fail at their feeble attempts at humor and they shamelessly beg for tips. They have a decent repertoire of pop music from a few decades. But do you really want to go to a piano bar to hear "the greatest hits of the 70s through today"? Seriously. Â You could turn on your flaccid local corporately owned radio station at a bar if you wanted that. This flies into the face of everything a piano bar should be.
However, the most cynical part of the experience that Howl at the Moon creates for it's patrons is the glass message board. Basically, you write down a message you would like displayed to everyone with a larger tip attached to it than the last person and you get your message on the board. It goes to the highest bidder. As the patrons become more inebriated, they come to accept that it may be worth $100 to have their lame message displayed to everyone in the bar. It's hard to watch.
The drinks were ok and I was there with a fantastic group of people that had a private party pre-planned. The managers and staff definitely treated us right. But, I can't review that experience because it isn't the experience that the common person visiting Orlando or considering the trek to I-Drive would have at Howl at the Moon.
I would love to find an authentic piano bar here in town that I can enjoy. Â But to Howl at the Moon, I will definitely not be returning.
I really hate tourist traps, and Howl definitely deserves that title. While the concept of a dueling piano bar is fun, it isn't worth it for the price.
The price:
First, you have to pay a cover almost every night before you can even see if the bar is crowded. A lot of nightclubs use this tactic, but for some reason it makes me even more angry when Howl does it.
Maybe it's because I was forced there in the first place but some less knowledgable out of towners; perhaps it's the fact that I just drove 45 minutes and can't drink nearly enough to make it worth the trip and to get to the level where the embarrassment inflicted upon you sounds like a great idea; either way- overpriced.
The drinks:
The drinks are also insanely overpriced; too little alcohol and too expensive. Be prepared to pay about $10 a pop for a watered down anything.
The atmosphere:
Another example of a great concept, this time with mediocre execution. While I can appreciate the dueling pianos, friend embarassment, and raunchy lyrics, I really feel that all of those things are best enjoyed in moderation and under the influence. Moderation and heavy alcohol consumption are not on the priority list here.
The 'VIP' Happy Hour:
If you win this, you may want to pass. It's a decent marketing ploy, but for the consumers, your free admission ends at 8pm, your free shot is sugar water, and the bar doesn't get busy until 10-11pm, so while you'll want to leave, you're stuck unless you want to pay cover when you come back.
Closing thoughts: Leave the Howling at home- stay local.
I went here on a Wednesday night which is called "Cougars and Cubs" or something like that. The place was packed full of cubs but I didn't see many cougars. It was a serious meat market with most of the meat comprised of frat boys that never grew up.
The drinks are expensive, and the special for the night was $3 Budweiser/Light. I wasn't expecting the male piano players to be so derogatory to the women they called up on stage/in the crowd. Of course most of the crowd thought it was funny but maybe that's just the type of people this place draws.
All in all it's just another one of those I-Drive tourist trap bars. I would definitely not go back again.
Seems like everyone enjoys this place on yelp but me.
Not sure if I came on the wrong night, or maybe still super pissed about how bad Sims 3 blows and still recovering from bad Indian food  (and they had no hot water with lemon to make my tummy feel better), but not really feeling HATM.
It was just not my vibe. Â Kinda crass.
Maybe I should try again??
This was a fun and exciting change of pace for a late night out. A group of men spend the night entertaining you via means of music, laughter, and fun. They go along with the crowd and a lot of improv is used with whatever is going on. I really enjoyed sitting back and watching all the fun!
Usually I'm against it when you are asked or told to pay tips, but this night, they made it very fun and entertaining. They also called the tips "points" so for more "points" you could get them to do various things such as dance topless, sing your favorite song, or use your imagination.
This was my first visit to a Piano Bar, and i thought it was going to be boring and a little crappy.
Boy was i wrong! Everything about this place works! And it is beyond awesome. And not a tourist trap, like i also thought.
1. Music-
Really good singers and musicians that make you feel like you should have paid way more to get in. Really the everyone there was oozing with talent! And they know everything! From really old random songs to cheesy boy band numbers, they sing and play in perfect key! But not only are they great musicians, they are funny as hell!
2.Drinks-
Holy cow, thats a shot? Florida shots are like 3x NYC size and half the price! The drinks are mixed well, and the waitress know their stuff. They know really random drinks, some people have never heard of and they are quick. The best drink has to be the Bucket, it is a huge bucket of booze, they have diffrent kinds and they run about 18 bucks, but they are well worth it! Def dont try it alone, 4 people are needed for this drink atlest!
3. Location-
This place is on a block with lots of other places to eat and drink, Which is really helpful, since they DONT have food here.
All in all, if ur in the area u need to check this place out! It is worth it! YOU WILL HAVE FUN!!!
p.s if u get in b4 8 no cover and u get to grab a good seat.
p.s.s Try and get Emma as a waitress, she is super sweet, pretty and quick as hell.
How fun!!!
After dinner we walked on over here, we had a free pass to get in it was only until 10 and of course we didn't make it on time but the girl let us in free anyways.that was nice of her because you know how some people take things like that so serious.
We ordered some beers and got lucky and found a table right in front. I've never been to a piano bar and I'm glad this was my first. You can request songs for them to play if you add some cash they'll play it faster.
I have never seen such hustlers but these guys were good. They all would either play the guitar, piano, drums or sing. They all switched up during different songs and played different instruments which I loved. Â
Some people got real serious one guy even gave them a hundred bucks so they can say texas was the  number one state.  Mind you some people were already giving them 20s etc so they could say their state was number one. I'm telling you these guys made their money! I loved every minute of it because I love drunk people.
We ended up getting these huge buckets of rasberry lemonade which we chugged down pretty fast. Had a nice buzz, sang a little, had a few convos,I won't say which one of us but one went on stage to dance to 'I like big butts' and beat all the others out the damn water!!! ;)
Good times friends, good times.
Howl at the Moon is a great place to go for a fabulous time. Â
The good - It's HUGE so even when it gets crowded, you can usually find a place to stand without being smooshed. Â The piano players are incredible and really funny. Â They play a lot of great songs and it's a great way to unwind after a long week at work.
The bad - On the weekends it gets super-busy... so if you want a table you're definitely going to have to go early. Â You have to pay valet (5 bucks) to park in their lot. Â
This is definitely a place to go with a group of people. Â I've been numerous times and I've had much more fun with a large crowd (of usually inebriated...) people. Â Let down your inhibitions, kick back a couple of beers, and sing along. Â Oh and for a few bucks you can tip the performers and get your friends embarassed. Â What more could you ask for?
Much improved from their previous location on Church Street, this place is huge! It is 2 levels with multiple bars and tables. However the place fills up quick and if you come late not only will you wait in a slow, long line but it will be standing room only.
People come ready for a good time and after a few drinks the craziness ensues!! The piano players are great at getting the crowd going (and spending big money on tips). We have been more than a few times and always have a great time! Be ready to spend some money though, drinks aren't cheap!
Howl at the Moon closed on Church Street but reemerged like a Phoenix from the ashes down on International Drive and WOW! What a great new location. There is a lot of room but still seems to be pretty crowded.
The new thing I like about it was the night I went they had a whole band drums, guitars and bass in addition to the normal dueling pianos.
I went a few weeks ago and it was a lot of fun, our server was excellent, a little girl named Val. And the bathroom attendant was hilarious and super cool.
Great place to bring a group or to go after a convention right down the road.
