I debated back and forth whether this should be a two-star or 3-star rating (we need half stars!)  I really should have read all the Yelp reviews.

First off, I wore the wrong attire.  I forgot my shortest skirt/dress, my tightest, skimpiest top, and highest heels.  My bad.

This was definitely the place to see & be seen and pickup & be picked up.  It's the perfect place if you're single.

However, we were celebrating my hubby's bday so I wasn't looking for that.

The night didn't start off great.  We had been sitting at our table for a while when the waitress for the table next to us noticed us and came over and apologized.  She took our  drink order for us.  Our waitress finally came by a few minutes later and repeated our order back to us.  Hubby ordered a beer and I ordered a strawberry margarita.  When the drink came out, it was the worst margarita I'd ever had.  Hubby tried it to verify, but it was completely watered down.  It didn't taste like strawberries or tequila.  Just water.  I told this to our waitress and she offered to get me something else.  I asked her what the sweetest one was and she recommended the Pama Rita.  This one was AMAZING.  Sooo good.  If we ever go back, I'd order this in a heartbeat.

I'd read that the guacamole was good (they prepare it at your table), but I don't like guac so we got chips & salsa (for $3.50).  The chips had some kind of seasoning on them.  They were okay.

For dinner I ordered the wet burrito.  It was okay.  But I like the burrito chain places better.  Hubby had the Chihuahua combo and said it wasn't bad.

Our waitress wasn't very attentive.  At one point the manager stopped by and I had to ask her for a coke once my margarita was gone.

Overall, my impression is that the restaurant is disappointing.  I definitely think its a great place to go if you're single.  The bars are hopping (in fact, our table was by one and towards the end, the crowd at the bar was pretty close to our table).  And there's definitely lots of other singles there.  But this place just wasn't for us.  Not sure we'll be back.

Woah...crowd watching galore! Take your pic of scenery...you can either people watch in the open patio up front, or in the back overlooking the lake. I came here about 8:00p on a Friday night to meet up with some friends and celebrate and you could hardly walk in! We scoped the scene, snagged a spot and certainly were intrigued by the crowd. I read someone else's review of "cougar alert"...I can totally see that, but at the same time, there was this weird thing that happened. The initial scene of people trickled out, it was somewhat not busy, and 15 min later a new scene of younger people came through.

Ok, onto the food and drinks :)

Their drink menu is ridic. Sooooo many tequila mixed drink options and it was a little overwhelming. So I ended up doing one of those, "I'll have what she is having" and pointing at a fancy cocktail. It turned out to be a skinny-rita. Really delicious...one of the best tasting skinnies I've had.

The tableside guacamole was delicious!  Fresh ingredients all mashed in front (or to the side) of you. I asked for a side of jalapenos to make my portion spicy since my friends are not a fan of spice, and it worked out quite well.

As for the tacos, I'm so sad to say it was a huge miss for me. The fish tacos I had were bland, the hot sauce served on the side lacked flavor and it left me feeling disappointed.

Service was good - very pleasant and friendly. :) I'd go back to try other menu options just to see if it was an off night.

I came with a large group for a birthday party. I love Mexican food and there is a restaurant nearby called Agave Azul that is a consistent 5 stars. Go there. I started by having a margarita. $12.50 I got a weak all ice drink I drank in about 3 gulps. Not impressed I was soured to the experience already. Not a latino in site working or eating here. They gave us chips but no salsa. That's not included or available it seems. The guacamole might be the best I've ever had. Truly is awesome. It's also $12.50 for a small amount that's good for no more than 3 people. I had enchiladas Rojo $13.50. The sauce was very bland and too tomato tasting. I asked for the most popular hot sauces in Mexico, Valentino and catalina. They had neither.   They bought out their house sauce. It was bland, watery, not very spicy and had a lot of vinegar. Not very Mexican. I wouldn't come here again and my friends agreed. They had a pitcher of sangria ($22) that was very weak. We all compared it to Agave Azul as it's a high end place as well and all agreed it's better, price not considered. This place cost about twice as much as there.
