This place is ok. The people were fun to watch since they were a little more active than the crowd I'm used to in Raleigh. However, I hated the courtyard area with the smoking. This place is a bit small, so this is the only outdoor place that people have to smoke, but I really cannot sit outside without having to go back in a few minutes later. The bar has a pretty good selection of beer. The crowd, I think, is a bit better than what I'm  used to in Raleigh, but DAMN, where are the girls? It was a bit boring for me since I was tired that night and kept the dancing to a minimum.
Review Source:Snuck in through the side door next to the restrooms sometime right before closing. Upon walking up to bar, I immediately knew something was wrong when there was two men without shirts for bartenders. I told my friend we should leave since it looked like they were about to close.
I googled it later, and as it was mentioned before. I found out we snuck into a gay club. lol.
If I was gay, this seems like the place to be though, it looked packed earlier in the night when we passed it on our way to Club Rhino.

Ok does anyone else think it's a little funny that more girls then guys have reviewed this place? What's up with that boys - scared? Ok just so we are all on the same page this is one of the only "gay" bars in Wilmington, or at least that advertise and market as such. So now that we all get that, since I'm obviously not a gay boy, I can't really comment to quality of merchandise you will find here. But from a girls perspective, I thought the guys where hot - young, college age mainly, but hot! However, if you are a girl looking for a girl, you most likely are going to be disappointed, or at least I have been! Not that they are not girls there, because they are! It's just usually 90% of the girls there are straight and there with their gay boy toys, or there to feel wild and crazy ... or the girls that are gay aren't my type. Beautiful in their own right, just a little too butch for me, but if that's you type, your odds are definitely better, but even then not great!
I think it's important to support any gay establishment! Â Diversity, visibility and options are fundamental for growth and progress, so for that reason alone they have my support! While, yes, like anyone older than 21 - Id love to see more options downtown for the community, just in case you're not completely in the clubbing mood - but while I wait, I'll just suck it up, break out the heels and hit the dance floor because Ibiza is a pretty wicked place. The bartenders are fabulous fit, the drinks properly strong, the music tight, and I've never had bad time or been disappointed that I went! I mean hot boys, cocktails, and the chance I'll get to make out with a hot straight girl, sure I'm in, why not ......
But even when you take the gay aspect completely out --- I still really like Ibiza as far as dance clubs go in Wilmington - gay or straight - It's up in my top 5! That's why it's never an issue to get my straight friends to go! It's a wicked club to hit for a wickedly fun evening out and everyone should feel comfortable here --- gay, bi, straight or somewhere in between!
if you want to dance and be blasted by extremely loud music, then this is your place.. large venue 2 floors all extremely loud... party palace for the youth and hanger-ons... if I did drugs I would go here more often.. otherwise just get dragged here by my bf or bored friends from the non-smoking costellos.... wilmington needs more gay choices!!! maybe I will open a new nightclub here, maybe not... I still love it here.
