I was very disappointed, after all of the Yelp hype.
This place, like most sushi joints in this country, is run by Koreans -- a nice middle-aged couple. Â The service was indeed good. Â I sat at the bar, so I got to watch other the man prepare other customers' rolls. Â He has good artistic sense.
The food, however, was unremarkable. Â I had to wait for two types of fish in my sashimi platter to thaw before they became edible. Â I spat out chewy parts of a couple of pieces, and the tuna in particular tasted old.
If you like fancy rolls, this place may be for you, but don't expect quality fish when you order nigiri or sashimi.
P.S.: Unlike another Yelper here, I wouldn't recommend the fried ice cream.
What a random delightful find! Very fresh fish, classic preparation and unique combos - definitely a treasure in the midst of a region where you wouldn't normally expect high caliber Japanese/sushi. The special sauce on the sizling steak was actually A-1 which was a bit disappointing. Check out my photos to see the freshness and the tempura was truly amazing. Sad they didn't have quail egg for my ikura though :-(
