The food is good, although inconsistent. I recommend the Surf & Turf, with lobster casserole and steak tips. Huge chunks of lobster and big steak tips. Caesar salad was mostly cheese and cream, with a little romaine for color. Servers are friendly but in 3 visits so far I had to wait each time at least 10 to 15 minutes just to get acknowledgment from a server. I noticed the servers were all ignoring me and other customers in the same situation. They were also ducking my repeated attempts to get their attention. It's a new place but this is a management failure. I never saw any manager. Plenty of seating and a nice, bright layout. Good seating for groups. TVs and music are both severely limited by the programming choices.
Review Source:Food was excellent, plenty of TVs about the place. However, I really don't think 2 rounds of beer, an appetizer and 2 burgers should have cost $90. Very tasty and all but I could never be a regular here. Plenty of other places nearby that have decent food and TVs for less. Waitresses are cute though.
Review Source:Went there last night. Nice place, good staff. The food was just average. Started with the buffalo chicken nachos. Short on the chicken and barely any buffalo sauce. Blue cheese on top was different but carrots gotta go. Wont order them again. I had the ribs. Nasty after taste, again nothing to write home about. The burger looked good. The chicken caesar wrap my daughter had was swimming in dressing. About the only good thing was the beer prices, below 4 bucks for a bottle will make me come back for a game but I'll stop somewhere along the way to eat first.
Review Source:Food was good, sirloin tips are great! But, the atmosphere for watching sports is not great compared to other sports oriented places. Also, the place is freezing and asking to get the air turned down does nothing. Â Bathroom walls are covered with soft porn which makes no sense when children, teens and adults who don't want to see that have no choice but to use the same bathroom.
Review Source:I went to this Jake N Joes on a Sunday around 3pm. We sat at the bar and waited forever for to get a drink. Then tried and tried to get a menu After a while we were successful and ordered some food which was OK. Note, the Nachos are terrible if you just ask for Nachos. You have to special order them or you will be completely disappointed. Remember, at any Jake N Joes you go to you will pay more than you should. A sandwich that at most places is  $7.99 will be $10.99. That is just the way it is and is with the other Jake n Joes I have been to in Norwood, MA. Be careful because this can add up.  For beers and sports this place is perfect but for eating go somewhere els.
Review Source:This was the first visit to this location. I went to the Norwood one a year or so ago, wasn't bad but pricey for what you get in my opinion. Here I got the steak tips, ordered them medium. They were far from it. Bright red, practically still alive. A good waitress would have realized something was wrong when half were left on my plate. Â I didn't send them back, because I don't do it unless they ask if something was wrong, Â The water tasted like chlorine. Overall extremely disappointed and it wasn't cheap. Won't be back.
Review Source:Great place to watch a game and have a beer BUT I was very disappointed by the food! I wanted my burger medium-rare and they said the best they can do is medium. The burger came out extremely well done. By the time our server came to check on us I ended up just eating the burger as-is. I ordered the burger on a pretzel roll for something different and it the pretzel roll had so much salt it was almost completely white. Even after wiping the salt off it was disgustingly salty.
Review Source:I was sad to see the Piccadilly Pub close but excited when Jake N Joes opened. Waited a little while for the crowd to die down, went in on a Sunday afternoon to check it out. Love the layout of the place, very large bar with a huge number of TVs. They even have one outside! Patio looks nice, has plastic windows which I assume can be opened in nice weather; however, there is a big rip on one window covered with duct tape. Staff was friendly, lots of people working and all seemed to work as a team. We ordered lemon drop martinis, which were a disappointment- $9.00 each and were only so-so. Not worth the money, so we got some draft beer, which was much better. They had a nice chunk of ice floating in each, which made the beer smooth and easy to drink. I ordered the chicken quesadilla, she ordered the French Dip sandwich with french fries. Quesadilla was pretty good, very big and full of fresh ingredients. However, too many tomato chunks for my taste. French Dip sandwich was very good. Fries were big and juicy. Lots of things on the menu looked good, but prices were a bit high. Overall bill was $60 after tip. Overall a good experience, but we were disappointed with the martinis and felt the food was a bit over priced. We will return and try some other items, but because of the prices it will have to be a once-in-awhile visit, not a regular hangout for us.
Review Source:I was pretty excited about this opening near me. Â I had been to the one in Norwood and I liked it a lot. Â The Norwood Jake & Joes is a good place to watch a game. Â However, this place is not. Â The Foxboro location fails miserable on the 2 most important aspects of a sports bar. Â
1. Â They play top 20 music instead of piping in the highlighted game. Â I don't care if it's Tuesday night and the Red Sox are playing the Royals at a sports bar, you need to have the game volume on.
2. Â The TVs are not in sync. Â I was watching the Red Sox game on Sunday and there were TVs that were 10-20 seconds off from each other. Â You hear one end of the bar cheer and then the other half cheers. Â This is pretty annoying if you are near the TV that is behind. Â This is absolutely a deal breaker for watching a big game there. Â
Hopefully they can get this in line with the other location. Â The food is pretty decent but it can't be the go-to sports bar until these are addressed.
Seems much more "open" (and bigger bar, I think) than the Norwood location. I've only been here for drinks, and the bar was still about three people deep even weeks after opening. We grabbed a table - service was okay, the staff seemed tired (how could they not? The place is jam packed all day long and the staff is working doubles!) My friends ordered mixed drinks and said they really enjoyed them (and they're not all juice). The bucket of beer is definitely worth it, at $17/4 Coronas. Definitely the spot to watch games - there are TVs literally everywhere, and the menu is clearly geared at such ideas. I saw they also have what looks to be a four seasons patio, too.
**UPDATE**
I was here a couple of weeks after my last four-star review and had what was hands-down one of the top five most horrible experiences in my history of dining out.
We were seated at one of the high top tables, a party of five just grabbing some drinks. The hostesses were very friendly and even asked us if we had a table preference, so that was a great start. Then, It took a really long time for the waitress to show up to take our order. We didn't mind, it was busy so it was pretty understandable. However, she was so moody that she didn't, or couldn't, even smile! I've never had such an odd experience. After she moodily took our order, we found ourselves whispering asking if one of us had said something offensive. When it was time for our second round, the waitress was nowhere to be found. For around fifteen minutes, we found ourselves eyeing all the servers in hopes that we would find her. Eventually, we signaled another waitress and asked for ours. It was still several minutes before she appeared.
Once again, she was moody and dry. She answered any questions with short, yet rude, responses. We decided that we would not be having another round, as her mood was beginning to wear on the rest of us.
After we paid for our drinks, she made a comment to my boyfriend about the poor tip (we only left a couple bucks). His response was, "If you didn't give us such an attitude, I can promise you that your tip would have been much higher." Her response was, "Well, they seated a bunch of tables in my section at the same time." We're very friendly, all she would have had to do was tell us that from the get-go (which is what happened last time I was here), not take her aggravation out on us.
We visited on the 2nd night that they were open. Â The place was quite busy, but that wait wasn't too long. Â The hostesses were all very personable which I always think is important as they are the face of the restaurant being the first people you see. Â The atmosphere was great. Â If you couldn't see a TV from where you were seated, you must have still been in the parking lot and I think you can still see some of the TV's from there. Â We split an order of loaded cheese fries and the boneless wing tower going with buffalo, teriyaki and JNJ sauces. Â The cheese fries were decent. Â I do wish they'd layered the fries and cheese/bacon a bit more as once you got past the top layer, all you had were plain fries. Â The "wings" were really good though. Â It was chunks of chicken, not strips. Â And they were not overly breaded. Â The sauces were all delicious and my mouth is watering a bit as I type this.
I know we'll be back. Â Having a sports bar in Foxboro is a perfect fit and I actually like that it's not right at the stadium. Â I think being on the other side of town will give those of us not attending the game a chance to enjoy a more festive atmosphere without the traffic. Â And I'm looking forward to patio seating in the summertime while we watch the Sox play.
