Very much agree with the last two reviews.  We order from them at my work for business lunches, but won't be any longer as everyone complains about how bad the sandwiches are (poorly made, skimp on ingredients, sauces, etc.).  Just ordered today out of desperation (ONLY saving grace is they are fast, but that's only because they skimp on quality to do so) but a  delivery charge isn't worth the poor sandwiches we got.
Also, I live only TWO BLOCKS AWAY from my work (where they deliver all the time), and they say that's outside of their delivery range. Â What?
"My First Jimmy John's Experience" Â :-P
Wow... Just wow... Â I can't believe this place. Â
I called them because they were 2.2 miles away and figured they would deliver to me. Â I had seen them around before in San Diego and Omaha but for some reason I had never tried it. Â I was just so tired of hearing that damn commercial on the radio, so I just called them.
Oh, what's that you say? Â You only deliver within a 2 mile radius? Â Ohhh... it's all clear to me now. Â NO WONDER you're so fucking "freaky fast," you only deliver 2 miles away!! Â
Sooo of course, I'm sitting there between 2 Jimmy John's restaurants that are both about 2.1 or 2.2 miles away, and now I have to go pick it up. Â That's fine by me. Â A little irritating, but I'm not so lazy that I can't drive a few blocks down to pick up a sandwich. Â
I ordered it online before I went just to save some time. Â

2 bags Jimmy Chips
2 cookies
Not TOO crazy of an order I'd say. Â
After about 10-15 minutes or so, I start heading on over there. Â I'm actually getting somewhat excited about this because I had never tried Jimmy John's before! Â
I walk in, expected to be greeted with open arms...
JJ: Â "Welcome to Jimmy John's sir!"
Me: Â "Hi! Â I have an order to go."
JJ: Â "Name?"
Me: "John."
JJ: "Got it right here! Â Here you go sir! Â Can I get you anything else today?"
Me: "Nope, looks wonderful. Â Thanks! Â Have a good one!"
JJ: "You too sir!"
I walk out smiling, thinking about how wonderful that experience was. Â
NOPE. Â DIDN'T HAPPEN THAT WAY.
Walked in, wasn't greeted, went up to the counter, and said, "Hi, I have a to-go order for John." Â To which they reply, "Oh, uh, alright."
They grabbed the receipt which was just sitting there, and began to make my sandwiches. Â
Wait... my order isn't ready yet? Â WTF? Â Alright... fine by me. Â Sandwiches don't take too long to make I suppose... Â Even though the restaurant was EMPTY!
They finish making the sandwiches, placed them at the end of the counter, and then they both walk to the back. Â I felt kind of awkward but I had to reach behind the counter to grab my bags and put my sandwiches in them. Â Then I walked up to the front and realized they hadn't given me my chips or cookies. Â So I grab two bags of chips and two cookies and place them in my bag. Â By this point, they were back up front walking around. Â All the while I'm feeling awkward because I'm not sure if I'm supposed to do this, and they are just walking around right there so I half expected them to ask me what I was doing as I was kneeling in front of the register shoving cookies and chips in to my bags.
I'll have to agree with Ian H. here... Â This staff is rude, and this whole experience was just like, "what the fuck?"
Needless to say, I have continued to eat Jimmy John's because it was bomb as hell, but I just go to the Omaha locations out here because we do evertyhing so much better. Â ;-)
Did I say better? Â I meant the best.
Boo. Boo I say. The staff is rude. The service is slow (at least to Jimmy John standards). The hours? Make no sense. Boo. I go back once a month, hoping for improvement, and it never happens. Will I keep going back? You bet, I love Jimmy John's. But so far, this one stinks. I can't recommend it.
