Not so freaky or fast!
I had a very bad experience with this Jimmy Johns because I had to order sandwiches for a large group that needed to eat between rounds at a speech tournament. However, the sandwiches were over an hour late!! They students had to eat their sandwiches extremely fast.
This location always employs bored looking teenagers who wouldn't know what customer service was if it hit them in the face. Last night I went  and got my usual #16, no mayo, sub that delicious avocado spread. The girl behind the counter acted like I asked her to go to the Kroger next door, buy avocados. and personally make the avocado spread. Throughout the time my sandwich was being made, her eyeballs were basically rolling back in her head. I don't know what it is about Broad Ripple and service, but it's so difficult to find someone who can at least pretend like they are enjoying their job.
Yeah, I'll be back, it's a JJ franchise. Luckily I only have to deal with the staff for about two minutes thanks to the freaky-fast sandwich making.
This place is in just about the best location you can be in in Indianapolis (that's a lot of "ins"!) I am both ashamed and proud to have been one of many very, very "jovial" patrons here on a weekend night. I think. It may have been a weeknight... I honestly can't remember. Anyways, everybody in the place listened to what must have been some unending wisdom and responded with nothing but great attitudes! I'm sure I'll be back for some more day old bread (of which I found the evidence in my pocket the next morning,) delicious sandwiches, and fast service with a smile! Right on guys!
Review Source:This was my first time ordering Jimmy John's to be delivered. Â I was having some friends over last Saturday night and decided to do something a little different than just appetizers.
Originally, I was going to order a 2 foot party sandwich, but it was $30 and I didn't see that it would have any variety. Â So instead, I ordered three 8 inch sandwiches (24 inches=2 feet). Â I ordered Turkey with Avocado, Roast Beef, and Tuna with Avocado. Â Excellent variety for $19! Â Since I was slicing up the sandwiches so my friends could enjoy a variety, I was happy to save $11 by not going with a party sandwich.
The quality of Jimmy John's sandwiches is excellent. Â Their delivery service is excellent.
Anyone who has lived in, or passed through the Midwest undoubtedly will see a Jimmy John's at some point and if you dont stop and give it a try you're missing out on one of the best sandwich joints in the country.
Jimmy Johns only serves cold sandwiches but they have an extensive menu of 15+ sandwiches as well as chips and soda's. Â They serve all their sandwiches on french bread sub rolls or 9 grain thick cut wheat bread.
One of the best aspects of Jimmy Johns is that they have one of the quickest delivery times in town and they deliver until past 3am sometimes. Â Nothing better than getting delivery at 3am once you get home from the bars and realize youve got nothing to eat in your fridge.
I'm gonna give this Jimmy John's 5 stars because they take online orders and deliver to my house - within 30 minutes. Â That's unbelievable.
I am going to take 1 star back because the bread is always super chewy, and it's not like that at other Jimmy Johns.
I always get the #5 (Vito) and the hubby orders the JJ Gargantuan. Â Yes, the sandwich as big as your head. Â Get the hot peppers.
They are consistently good which is important for me, and probably the only reason I'm willing to eat at a chain.
And on the eighth day, God created Jimmy John's for all of His little lambs who had wandered away from the flock and into the shadowed gardens of sweet, boozy sin. That is to say: this is some kick-ass hangover food. If you live near Broad Ripple, walk it off (you know it'll be good for you!) and make this your destination and your reward.
You don't have to be drunk and/or hungover to enjoy the food, however. Thanks to the influences of my once-vegan best friend, I still gravitate towards the vegetarian sandwich, which is absolutely delicious with mayo, avocado spread, generous piles of cheese and beansprouts. Mmmm. The meaty stuff is great, too, and I'll second Amber's opinion regarding bacon on sandwiches. I'll also second Rhonda's opinion. Darn you indeed, Jimmy John's.
JJBBLT w/ Avocado spread. Â For those that don't go often that would be my #1 sandwich choice. Â If you read some of my other foodie reviews you will see a trend that bacon on anything is awesome! Â I have had recent cravings for avocado, straight, salads, guac, doesn't matter, not preggers, just random desire to eat good fats vs the mayo. Â
I still get the extra "B" for bacon, but at least I'm cutting out the mayo and getting some veggies. Â I always get delivery so can't attest too much as far as the cleanliness, but the staff is always polite on the phone, and never takes long to get to the Glendale area. Â Not many place deliver around here, which being from Chicago is a real disappointment. Â JJ is great and fast for that in pinch tummy rumble.
