Jimmy John's

This is by far the best Jimmy Johns in the area....great service every time I go which is often. I've had bad experiences at the JJs on Hall Rd, Groesbeck and Gratiot, etc...bad service from unfriendly employees and subpar food. Thumbs up to this owner and it's managers for getting it and doing it right.

Subs so fast you'll Freak - and they're not kidding.

I couldn't have been happier when this Jimmy Johns went up shortly after I moved home from college.  It's right around the corner from my house and I stop in frequently.  My sub is always done before I finish paying.  They always get my special order right and it's delicious.

Now that's all fine and well, I mean it's a Jimmy Johns, what do you expect?  But Yesterday they blew me away.

Yesterday was Customer Appreciation Day at Jimmy Johns and you could get a sub for $1.  I went and checked out the line.  It was 2 store fronts down from the store, one of them being a Secretary of State, which is long in itself.  I figured, they're fast, I'll get in line.

I counted 32 people in front of me.  I got ready to wait.  Jimmy Johns is always good and Jimmy Johns for $1 is fantastic!  I noticed that their was a Jimmy Johns employee walking down the line taking everyone's orders and giving them a little order slip.  I thought that was a great idea.  

I've been to other "events" such as Mr. Pita's free Pita Day.  They do NOT allow any deviation from the menu on these days.  Well that's unfortunate for me because I cannot eat onions.  If I pull them off they still leave a residue on the sandwich.  I was worried Jimmy Johns would have a similar policy for their $1 day.  Not so, this was the point of the little papers.

Once again my sub was ready before I finished paying.  On such a busy day!  I checked the time when I got in line and the time again when I got back in my car.  Total time?  6 Minutes.  AMAZING.
