Like the atmosphere and the staff is always great, but the food is just okay for me. Â Big menu, and one of the best things on the menu is the turkey melt. Â We also like the hummus/pita, as well as the chicken wings. Â Plenty of Greek fare here as well. Â It does have a small patio in back and front, so that's nice. Â I'm only giving it three stars b/c it didn't "wow" me, food-wise.
Review Source:I'm a pretty big fan of Jimmy V's. Â I think their Greek-inspired menu has more to offer than most, and I've never been disappointed with the food. Â My two favorites are the hummus gyro and the roasted veggie gyro. Â I eat a lot of hummus, and I can't put my finger on it, but there is something especially good about Jimmy V's. Â If the pitas (which are delicious) were whole grain I'd be even happier. Â The service has always been great, too.
The one downside for me is that substitutions on sides generally means spending a couple of extra bucks. Â The gyros and sandwiches come with potato chips, which I'm pretty sure come out of a bag rather than being made on site. Â Now, the gyros and sandwiches are enormous, so you really don't need a side with them anyway, but if you don't know that going in, you'll opt for a salad or lemon potato wedges instead of the chips, and then you'll be hooked and unable to resist ordering those in the future even though you know you can't eat all that food in one sitting, which means you spend more money at each visit, although I suppose that might even out since you have leftovers (take a reusable container from home and pass on the styrofoam!) Â Yep, that was worth the run-on sentence. Â It's good stuff!
Good ol' pub grub. Â Good panini's, sandwiches, appetizers and salads - pretty standard fare. Â Have to say the food is "okay". Â Good prices. Â Specials are usually available and often times pretty good. Â They are flexible with menu items and willing to make changes to them to suite your individual taste. Â
The wait staff - my water glass is always full, the place is clean and they are responsive to questions. Â However, I am never quite sure what to expect. Â Sometimes, they are there to do their job. Â Other times, they are quite personable. Â It can really set the tone for the dining experience.
