New management as of 5/25/13.
Gave the new Jimmy's one star for the 2 dishes we  had.
I phoned in my regular pickup order of sausage and pepper pizza pop and an eggplant pizza pop for my wife. I was surprised when I walked in, everything was different. Mostly new, total missed the new management sign. Brought the pops home and could tell right any it was not going to be good. Unlike the plumb cheese drooling pop Greg would make. It was thin and flat. Tasted different too, then I notice no onions and no peppers (no wonder it was thin only half was there). This is some kind of sacrilege. But I had the best pop, my wife's eggplant literally had 2 slices of eggplant. As if they ran out and didn't want to tell us. We are very disappointed; Jimmy's is an institution here in Centerport. Partly because of the distance to the next Pizza parlor, and because this is where the folks walk up to eat and socialize. It's a shame things seem to always change for the worst. Like the other store here in Centerport that have changed hands for the worst, I will be driving to Greenlawn and Broadway Pizza.
We tried the margarita pizza and loved it. Since its made with fresh diced tomatoes and herbs instead of the usual tomato sauce and mozzarella, I was concerned my 11 year old son would turn his nose up at it. Not to fear... He ate three slices, and now its his new favorite. I also tried a Greek salad made with feta cheese, it was fresh and very tasty -- much better than I would have expected from a local pizza place. Staff is friendly and my order (which was ordered online) was ready on time. Â I would recommend. Let's face it, there's a pizza place on every corner on Long Island but that margarita pizza was different and gives them the extra star. The margarita was a little more than your average large pie $20 range), but you can see why and I thought it was worth it.
