What a great experience! Perfectly situated near the water, the location is great. Decor and lighting really set the tone for a great evening. The servers were wonderful- they knew plenty about the wines we were ordering, were incredibly attentive, and really made the experience awesome. Arrived around 8:45pm on a Saturday and there were still tables available, but by 10pm it had gotten considerably busier. Their wine selection is vast, and they offer the perfect 2oz serving size for those of us who want to enjoy many different wines rather than one or two. Also, the live music (Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays) was great - perfect song choices for a place like the Cellar, plus some throwbacks. I'll surely be recommending this place, and I hope they're around for a long time.
Review Source:I went there for the first time the other night with a friend. I loved the food. I haven't been to a wine and cheese place in years. The service was ok but the man that I think was the manager must have asked us 5 times if all was ok. I got the feeling we were being rushed, it was a Friday night. The music was good, I will return.
Review Source:Having never been to the old Wine Cellar on Main I can't say how it was. But I've been told that the new Wine Cellar has a nicely more open floor plan. To this I say -Good job. We stopped in on our way back from dinner with friends and were drawn to the guitar music and the crowd inside. While a guitarist was picking a tune that any forty-something would know in the front toward the window, we saw the bar set deep inside along the right hand wall. Across from the beer and wine only bar are some pub tables that invite groups of two or more to congregate and have idle chatter. Also along the left side and more to the front are more comfortable seats with bench seating and tables.
We are suckers for live music and are drawn to it like rats to the pied piper so we really didnt mind that the drinks were on the more expensive side- Â Two rieslings and a beer = $28.00. However, the atmosphere, live music and stimulating conversation make this a cool place to hang out, drink and have some tapas.
