Joe's To Goes

I have lived in the area for 15 years and passed this place so many times but never tried it because I never see it busy; I don't see cars parked out front or customers inside. So I thought maybe food is not good. Yesterday I had plenty of time before doctor's appointment and decided to try a new place. I came here. I am impressed. The atmosphere is nice. There's like 5 or 6 flat screened tv's playing sports. The bar looks new. The place is clean and no sign of age. I ordered three-cheese burger with side of baked beans. I love the food. The meat was well cooked and made from scratch. I was expecting veggies to be old but it was fresh. The 3 cheeses melted on the meat was wonderful.
Con: I think my food was overpriced. My food was $9.00 (with tax) for the burger and baked beans. If I go to Chili's or Applebee's, for that same price I would get even bigger-sized burger with huge serving of fries (or whatever side) and soda. In my opinion, based on quality (great) and size of meal, my food should be around $6, then plus tax and tips, around $9 (definitely not more than $10). Hm..
Besides the pricing, I don't understand why this place is always dead when they have great food, good service, and nice atmosphere. I think they need to advertise and get the word out there about their business like maybe create Facebook page and send mails to nearby neighborhoods giving special deals to give neighbors incentives to come and try out the place- that's one of the best ways to get the word out and people coming in. Maybe more business will allow the prices to come down. The server was nice and friendly. I saw the owner too; she was friendly as well. I will be back :0) And would love to try other items.

They have a new, friendly and helpful waitress.  I love all the different beers on tap and the lamb gyro is super tasty.  The onion straws were made fresh.  Terrific service and I love the menu.

This little place been in business for 20 years. This establishment have been through so many different management. The new owners have completely redone the place. New Bar and TV were the enhancements

Good:
Cheap Beer specials 3.00 IPA  ..Same great food  Burgers and wings. They added ribeye steak to there menus.

Bad.
Prices went up. No more special. They advertise they have specials . But I haven't seen the 5 or 6 dollar  wing lunch menu any more since the bar was added.  Another warning there are two menus as what I was told by staff. I came in and place a to go order and was charged 3 dollars more than was quoted on the menu!! Huge redflag!!. I  alerted the staff and was told they have to charge 2 dollars more for fries on togo order. The menu stated 7.99 wings + fry. Not a good way to do business
