John's Tavern

2 sisters and I were looking for a new local bar to hang at once in awhile, unpretentious and with decent beer at a decent price. Since this is just a block or so away, we stopped in on a Saturday night. Nope, this ain't the place for us. People smoke inside the bar, yuck! And several of the youngsters looked too young to be out drinking. But the grumpy old men and youngsters were peacefully coexisting so that's a plus I guess.

No longer John's, now called 16th street Liqours, great place for a beer and shot, come on down for Bears game, buffet at halftime, great service and good foods

One of my favorite dumps. Suzy the bartender makes the strongest drinks ever. Tip her and she'll take care of you.
