Wings Fire House

Just O.K. - wouldn't go out of my way to go back.  More of a locals bar and not a thriving restaurant.

We used our Groupon with a slight alteration.  The menu changed so we ended up getting salads (poor) an order of wings (liked the sauce but the wings were tiny) a steak burrito (average) and a Mexican Pizza (average).  

Service was ok.  It took our waitress awhile to warm up to us.  Food was slow to come out for a non busy night.  The Bulls Game was on and the sound system was amped up!  

If you want wings there are several alternatives in the area, including Buffalo Wild Wings.

Went here with the groupon as well. It was $33 and included 8 beers, 24 wings and 4 salads/wraps/sandwiches. Good deal and food was good and portions plentiful. When we got there, we were the only ones eating. By the time we left, there were 10 other tables eating and only one waitress who was doubling as a bartender. Took some time to get the check, but we weren't in a rush, so no harm. Definitely a bar first, then a grill. Decor is nice. Would go back without groupon.

Ooooooohhhh boy...  Well, the idea was nice.  But this was unfortunately the worst "Wing Bar" I've ever been too.  I always give a place at least 2 chances.  This one failed both times miserably.

First visit.  The front window was all opened up.  Seemed inviting until the music kicked in.  WAY TO LOUD!  I made motion of this.  The bartender said sorry, that's our thing.  OK.  So I decided to order to go.  I ordered a basket of wings and a chicken sandwich.  30 MINUTES LATER, my order came out.  Not only that, but I was the only one in there around the lunch hour during a week day.  Then they tried charging me extra for take out!  OK, so I get it home.  They shorted me a couple wings and the chicken sandwich was a frozen patty (hehehe).  Booooooo.

Second visit was a few months later.  I went in with someone.  The same deal.  Music WAY TO LOUD.  Waitress was ridiculously rude.  I don't think she spoke english.  So we tried giving her the benefit of the doubt.  But that wasn't the case.  She was just rude.  The food came out way too late again and was off.  The flavor of the wing sauce is OK, but that's it.  We had to tell her we wanted blue cheese sauce 3 TIMES before we finally got it (after we were almost done).  The place was busy this time at least.  I mean, they had like 2 other people in there (on a Friday night).

Soooooo, this place is not worth the trouble for the OK wings.  Sad to say.  I really like supporting local businesses.  I don't know how they're going to make it with Buffalo Wild Wings opening up just down the street.  Not that they are any better.
