  Ive been trying out new to me pubs in the area recently and decided to give Aj's a try last night.
  
  I was mostly intrigued by the burger meat selection.
  
  The drink selection was very basic, and they ran out of numerous beers in the middle of dinner, limiting choices for patrons even further.
  
  I ordered a bison burger, having grown up on it I love trying other recipes when I go out. Im absolutely positive that what I received was beef, the fat content was far too high for bison and the flavor was more consistent with beef than bison. This switch may work on some people but not all, if you are out of a particular product TELL the customer, do not deceive them.
  
  The staff was very friendly and helpful, thats where the 2nd star came from.
  
  Overall for a first impression,  I am not impressed and will not be going back anytime soon.

  Slow and unfriendly service. The burgers are nowhere near the 1/3lb they advertise. Chicken wings were dry (probably microwaved).

  Like the name says, they specialize in burgers.  The toppings to the burgers are nice and simple, but the patties are far from it.  They offer venison. elk, ostrich, lamb, salmon, bison and of course beef.
  
  The main reason this did not get 5 stars is simple.  The place is divided into a pub that allows smoking and the non smoking eating area.  The only issue is that the non smoking eating area often smells heavily of smoke and is noticeable immediately after you enter.

  Love this place.  Small but has great food and a good group of regulars.  The Surf/Beach theme is great.  The bar (smoking) and resturante (non smoking) are completely separated by a full wall so there is no cross over.  It is obvious that the owner is friendly to local law enforcement due to some of the decor haning.

  This is a simple burger place with a surf shack theme. It is split in two with the bar and a few tables in a smoking area and the rest as non smoking.
  
  Food: OK, simple burger (many different types)
  Service: Good
