OMFG THOSE DONUTS
They really are all they are cracked up to be.
I wound up at this place by accident and I was really impressed with a few things: 1) the doughnuts - holy awesomeness! 2) the service, the waitstaff was really REALLY friendly and I love how the hostess and manager walked around filling coffee and waters and helping the waiters and waitresses. 3) the theme - there are all these framed sayings/quotes/jokes ALL OVER the walls - and some of them are flat out hysterical.
The price point was lower than some Naperville breakfast establishments.
The actual food was average too. I actually wasnt crazy about the spinach and feta omelet i had (there was nearly NO feta in it and i asked for it well done and it wasnt)
My partner and I wound up in an intense game of cards that WOULD NOT END and everyone was really cool about us lingering which I thought was nice.
I wish I remembered out waitress's name - she was a peach.
After seeing some poor reviews and a bad experience my wife had here I was a little hesitant to try Juicy-O, but we decided to give it a try last week for brunh.
We both ordered the Corned Beef Hash Skillet and both really enjoyed it. Food was good and service was good as well.
Only downside was waiting a while for our check, but we weren't in any rush, so it really didn't bother us.
We will definitely go back.
I have not been to the Naperville Juicy-O but I have been to the Darien/Hinsdale one and the Downers Grove/Lombard one and I have enjoyed the food each time - donuts and french toast.
I do have to agree about the service though. These restaurants have not trained their staffs to be servers and that is too bad. Serving is very hard work and even harder if you haven't been trained properly....
But I love those freaking donuts so I will be back!
