Ice & Fuel is a great place to grab food, drinks and a sporting event after work. Great happy hour specials and really good food.

Ice & Fuel Breast Melt - A great neighborhood bar and grill to a local sports game. The service is always friendly, the patrons always welcoming and a great sports bar atmosphere. Their menu is pretty typical of a sports bar, but definitely a high quality of food.
My favorite, gotta try, item is the Ice and Fuel Breast Melt. A seasoned and grilled chicken breast is topped with caramelized onions, bacon and cheese. Try it with the seasoned curly fries and a side of honey mustard. Great stuff!

Love their buffalo chicken wings too.

This is a great place for casual dining,  I went with a couple of people, and we all liked what we had.  Their homemade chips are very good.  The atmosphere is your basic caual sports bar.. I like the menu; it does not try to be pretentious.  There are no strange themes going on.  The service was excellent.  I love when my drink is refilled often.  My only small complaint was extremely loud music making it difficult to talk.  This was 5:30 on a week night, not exactly the "wild crowd" time.  Still, I would definitely go again.

First off, let me say that I can not believe there have only been 5 reviews written about Kirkwood Ice & Fuel. Hopefully once, my review is posted here on Yelp we'll see an increase, because they offered up some fairly amazing wings and burgers.

We had been running from nursery to nursery selecting and picking up things for our major landscaping project when we realized, it was lunch time. To be honest, it was past lunch it was 2:30PM and we be starved. I keep an Entertainment Coupon book in my car and remembered there was a coupon for KI&F, so we headed exited 44 and went for lunch.

KI&F is a typical sports type bar, 7 TVs 6 turned to a variety of different sporting events and one on Animal Planet. TVs were positioned well, making for easy viewing from any table. My only complaint, they did not have subtitles on . I wanted to know what the commentators were saying.

Now let us talk about the food. We started our late lunch with Raspberry Chipotle Chicken Wings. The wings were good sized as Dave F., mentioned and are juicy. The RC sauce was heavier then I normally like, making them messy and a need for extra napkins. However, the rich flavor made up for needing to wipe your mouth and fingers in between wings. They were a very pleasant change from a traditional hot wing. Next to The Post wings, these may be my new favorite.

Next we had cheeseburgers that were char grilled to perfection. I do medium and Brad does Medium Rare and you can honestly see the difference when served. Pepper was our cheese of choice and we added all the other great toppings; white onion, lettuce, pickle and tomato. As their lettuce, they offer green leaf, not iceberg like so many other sports bar do. Burgers, were thick, juicy and seasoned just right.
For those of you who love O'Connel's, this is a better burger. We think it may be the best in the city.

I choose fries as my side and Brad got onion rings for an extra $1. We always do that, then share we we can experience more.  Their fries were crinkle cut, which is my second favorite fry next to steak. They hold ketchup so much better then a regular fry.
Their onion rings, were just okay. I enjoyed them, but not anything to write home about.

The service was excellent, our waitress was friendly and attentive to our table.
I have three more coupons and I will be back to use them all before they expire.

This review is based on a week day lunch, but overall I was impressed by how normal this place was.  In a time where every bar is coming up with a stupid slogan, or putting crap on the walls this place was a bar and grill with frills.  I had a grilled buffalo chicken sandwich with fries.  It was delicious, well priced, and timely.

The staff was friendly, in fact so friendly when I walked in the bartender thought I was someone she knew.  Can't say much about crowds or music, but it would definitely be a place I would go back and check out for a couple brews.

I like the simple menu here and picked the ham and cheese melt sandwich. Asked for soup instead of fries or potato chips. The broccoli and cheese soup was okay and the sandwich tasted good with a cold beer.

This place is AWESOME!!!   Mostly younger crowd, between 21-35 usually.  $2 bottles of SOL all the time, rest of the drinks are very reasonably priced.  Lost of room to spread out, and plenty of TVs to watch a game.  Service is very quick, and this place is even better now that there's no smoking in Kirkwood anymore!!  Highly recommended!!!!

This is a straight forward bar in the middle of Kirkwood which makes it special. Lots of TVs (mostly standard def) and good quality hot wings (perfect size wings with Frank's Red Hot (?) based sauce). I mostly only experienced this place as a Monday night football place, but really enjoyed it.  I remember cheap draughts and half priced wings for the special.

Plus if the previous reviewer is correct about the nonsmoking.... big plus for me.

    Forgot-
Fish sandwich I had for lunch one day had triangles of processed fish. Why even put that on the menu?
