A diner that's as good as it gets ... 10 am Saturday morning found the tables full except far back in the restaurant, so my travel partner & I sat at the counter and enjoyed the view of the cook doing her thing on the grill.
My order for $4.95 included two eggs, three strips bacon, and an order of biscuits and gravy, while the three egg omelette included toast, potatoes, fruit, and coffee. Â All good !!
Eclectic decor, banter between the regulars customers and staff, & cash only made it a throw back eating experience. I immediately felt like a regular myself. Â I'll be back ...
The Kitchenette... Hehehe. Â How could I have missed reviewing this place. Â Super cheap, good food. Â I have business contacts that come from Chicago on a regular basis. Â We like to go out to eat. Â This is one of the stops they like to go for lunch. Â Which is funny, because we could just as well go to some of the nicer, fancier places in town. Â Their burgers are really good. Â Great diner experience. Â Also good for that midnight snack.
