This will sound odd, but my favourite place to have crepes was a place in Japan. It's been a few years since my last flight and I knew that La Paix was around and now I convienently work across the street so I decided to give it a try for lunch.

I ordered an Angry Bird crepe and thoroughly enjoyed it. Next time I would love to have a sweet crepe, but sweets don't make a lunch!

The staff was super friendly. I was the only person in there at the time, which made me a bit sad as I think this place deserves a bit more traffic. They said it picked up later in the afternoon though. I will be recommending it to some of my coworkers.

One of the biggest pluses to this place, and I know it seems small but is a big thing for me, is that every song they played in store was good. I enjoyed them all. I hate going into places and having to fight my distaste for what's pumping from the speakers.

I had the Manchu Piccahu. It's a turkey crepe with spinach. The crepe comes with a side salad.

There are sweet crepe options too! Check this place out.

*This review is for the frozen yogurt, only*

After checking out the Game Preserve (omg so awesome) we attempted to go to Gigi's for some delectable cupcakes.

Alas, it as Sunday and Gigi's was closed.

Instead we noticed La Paix and decided fro-yo would be great on a humid day like today.

If we had been truly hungry, I would have definitely ordered a crepe. (I'm more of a savory crepe person than sweet). They had samples out -- the turkey crepe tasted good but wasn't really the crepe texture I'm familiar with.

Anyway back to the frozen yogurt. 14 flavors! Of the 3 I sampled, I only liked 1. Though the flavor was of the one I liked was GREAT -- it was too damn cold. The yogurt was chewy and plastic-y. It was not creamy and velvety and thus, 2 stars. Also, my frozen yogurt partner felt his gummy bears were stale. Not good.

They also do bubble tea... I guess we walked away not happy with our frozen yogurt choices and also confused on the branding of this store. Lunch? Desert? French? Cafe?

    Cannot recommend.

(This review is about sweet crepes-I did not try their savory crepes, smoothies or frozen yogurt)

I'm picky.  Really picky.  I'm a foodie.  I've had crepes prepared properly in far flung travels.  If you have too, then you probably know a crepe should not be as chewy or thick as a handmade tortilla.  (Though if they are using the same batter for their savory crepes, which I presume are like a wrap, maybe they want the tougher texture???)

I was excited to try this place, as the entire center has taken on a foodie feel with Flemings Steakhouse (good), the Cheese Shop (meh), and Gigi's cupcakes (meh~Confectioneiress in Zionsville my favorite) and Omaha Steaks (really?).

    The good:
I like to support little and local businesses.  This has the feel of a nice, personally- owned business.
The staff was super; welcoming, knowledgable, efficient, warm~great really!
    Clean and kept up.
Many little samples on an outside table to try (I didn't sample)

    The not-so-good:
If you are selling food, the food has to be great~and a lot of that is based on the quality of ingredients.
(I ordered the sweet crepe with chocolate and banana)
The banana was green, so lacked sweet banana flavor
The chocolate in the crepe was acceptable
The crepe was chewy and thicker than it should have been
The crepe was drizzled in a chocolate sauce of such low-quality that it would probably say chocolate "flavored" sauce on the bottle and mostly contain corn syrup and very little cocoa or chocolate.  Makes Hershey's chocolate syrup taste like a gourmet syrup in comparison. (Not to dog Hershey's syrup~it's a good every-day quality syrup)
The whipped cream (you can order sweet crepes with whipped cream and fruit instead of chocolate) they use is from the can.  Starbucks makes their own whipped cream.  If you are selling a dessert, it makes a difference.

It hurts a little to not give them at least 3 stars, because the spirit of the staff was super.  But alas, they are serving food.  It has to be good.  Maybe if I give them another chance, I will try the savory crepes or the frozen yogurt instead.

Went to La Paix Cafe on a Living Social coupon and was glad I did. The Parisian savory crep with ham, mozzarella, and mushrooms was delicious. It came with a side salad and I ordered a caramel crepe with peaches for dessert. Value for the money and great food.

In fairness to La Paix, I compare all crepes in Indianapolis against those found at Three Days in Paris, and Brugge Brasserie, so the bar is set fairly high.

The pros: convenient location, interesting offerings, competitive pricing.

The cons:  interior leaves something to be desired (imagine posters taped on walls),  quality of ingredients, and the lack of consistency/evenness of the ingredients in the crepe.

I did order a mango smoothie, and it was tasty.

We used a living social deal, so I was neither satisfied nor dissatisfied.  If I could, I would rate La Paix 2 1/2 stars.

    What a great place, really.

Me and the Family been here a couple of times and we love it here. We try to bring more and more people every time we come.

The savory crepes and sweet crepes are delish, and the fro-yo is awesome too. The ladies are so cute and nice and give really good service also. Love the decor and the free wifi is a plus too. Good place to bring friends or even to study at after school.

I decided to try this place for lunch.  Savory crepes sounded good to me.  I'm so glad I did.  I go there every couple of days and so far Angry Birds is my favorite crepe.  It's really filling too.  Great place and yummy crepes.  I still need to try the yogurt though.

Wow! La paix is delicious and refreshing! I live closer to huddles but the journey to la paix was definitely worth the trip. They have a larger selection of froyo flavors (all of which are delicious) and also serve up yummy crepes. Do yourself a favor and eat here!

I stumbled upon La Paix Cafe this afternoon and I am glad that I did! What a find. La Paix serves Frozen Yogurt and savory crepes...a great combo if I have ever heard of one.

The Frozen Yogurt was refreshing and light. Many flavors to choose from...Raspberry, mango, chocolate, vanilla, cheese cake, california tart, white mousse, Pomegranate, plus others that I don't recall. The fruit toppings were also fresh and sweet. There is also an assortment of many other toppings - from cereals to cookie bits to gummy worms. As with any froyo place, it isn't  the cheapest option, but for a good size amount, I spent around $4.

The Crepes I only sampled but will definitely be back to try a whole one. I tried the #8 - turkey, cheese, a fresh salsa. It was fantastic and made me want more.

The closest comparison would be to Huddles off of 86th by the Monon. While I enjoy Huddles, I have to confess that I thought the flavors were more varied and unique at La Paix. I will be returning, as should you!
