Legends of Notre Dame

Even for simple pub food, the food here just isn't good.  We had chips and "homemade" salsa.. Not good. I had a wrap (wet, fell apart, and tasteless), husband didn't care for his entree either.  My husband tried to order 2 different beers on tap and both were unavailable. They finally had his 3rd selection. thats just annoying. Not worth the wait or money.  On the plus side, our waitress was very pleasant and super attentive.

I visited ND for about a week and this restaurant was my first introduction to the campus/surrounding town. The memorabilia plastering this place was a helpful and constant reminder that I was at Notre Dame and the politeness of the patrons and waitstaff reminded me that I was in the Midwest, so that was quaint. I guess people mainly hit this spot up because: 1) it's where you take people visiting Notre Dame, 2) you really love Notre Dame, 3) your group of friends couldn't decided where to eat, so this place won by default.

Everything was ok. I got a burger, but I think burgers from Five Guys are better (and are cheaper). True, it's a restaurant offering a wider selection of American food, but they're things you can get somewhere else. They're not trying to break any new ground here-  just serving typical food with a whole lot of Notre Dame history/kitsch everywhere you look. I would love/hate to see this place during game day. It's literally in the parking lot of the stadium.

Visited the ND campus with my family and my brother, an ND alum.  The friendly staff provided good service and enjoyable meals in a relaxing atmosphere. Since its summer (and there was no school going on) it wasn't busy at all. A few customers inside due to a ND wedding and sports camps going.
Loved the Irish Nachos and the Rueben was one of the best I have ever had.
Loved the MD memorabilia on the walls that you can look at while you wait.
