This restaurant was a big disappointment for my husband and I. I like family-owned hole-in-the-walls, but this place doesn't live up to its rep. Food pricey, especially with the boring salad and toast. Servers wear tux shirts, but there's paper napkins and plastic tablecloths. Nothing "sunny" about it - it's dark, like a supper club. Servers were too anxious and hovered over tables; took my husband's plate before he finished. Food very bland - not basic, just forgettable, like Prego. Meatball (the only one) had odd consistency. Pasta selection lacking. Sometimes you gotta know when to hang it up; you can't use your family history as a crutch.
Review Source:I have had ketchup that  has more flavor than their spaghetti sauce. Food tasted like it was frozen and heated up in a microwave. Waitress never really spoke to me just came and took my plate away before i was finished. Salad was iceberg with a slice of a Roma tomato and one slice of cucumber. I fell that I should say one positive, the bruschetta app was good.
Review Source:I must say, I was terribly disappointed. Service was ok, the Waitress seemed to stand there and try to butt in while everyone was talking and having a good time.
For a $15 entree, Â I expected a whole lot more. I got the Spaghetti and Ravioli and it was so-so...probably won't be going back since there are so many other better options for Italian in The Bend.
