We came here with high hopes after reading several very positive reviews on the food and ambiance. Â
The staff was very friendly and attentive, the ambiance is also very enjoyable. Â The food is where the issue is; it is mediocre at best.
The best way to describe this restaurant might be to ask the question of "What IS the Vine?" Is it Italian? Is it Southwestern? Is it American? It's not very solid in it's identity.
When you walk in the door, you smell a strong aroma of Italian, yet are then presented with options such as Southwestern Chicken Salad.
There were 3 in our party, and 1 of us ordered the Salmon. The description of the salmon is "Blah" Guest #2 ordered the Southwestern Salad. This salad was "a far cry from a fiesta". Â Guest #3 ordered the Rib Eye, described as"less than flavorable"
The food is not horrible, but come on! We know you can do better THE VINE!!!
I wanted to love the Vine, but at the risk of sounding tacky the vine makes me whine!!!
Recently dined with a large group that had reservations. Â It was my first time and selected what I could afford and was very happy with my choice-the steak salad. Â The house wine got good reviews from everyone and I sampled some before the last bottle was finished and could say I agree wholeheartedly! Â I was amazed at the cheerfulness of the waitress considering the size of our party. Â I saw an earlier review about dress of wait staff and I think it might be best if the staff had a dress code.
