We went to this restaurant on a whim with friends and the service was stellar. Â The bartender was engaged with our every need. Â The food is listed as small plates but the portions are very very generous. Â We were able to share and mix and match. Â If you live nearby this place is definitely worth a visit. Â Skimpy on the bourbon pour, but the specialty cocktails are clever and original. Â After having visited Spain and Mexico, this is an upscale blend of both cultures leaning more in the direction of traditional high end Spanish style tapas. Â Very cute intimate environment as well. Â The caramel desert is a must try as well.
Review Source:Everything was perfect on our recent visit to Libertad. First time here, and I can't wait to go back. Service was attentive, from the server to the busboy. The food was excellent! We ordered the hummus, salmon, asada skirt steak and the apple cobbler. Without a doubt, probably the best hummus ever! It has a touch of heat that was a perfect touch. Â Serving sizes are on the lines of tapas/small dishes that can be shared. Â Each dish could probably feed 2-4 individuals, depending on how hungry you are. Â The restaurant is pretty small and cozy. Â Kitchen is open to the dining room. Â I'm so happy we found this top notch restaurant in downtown Skokie.
