First off, I had an omlette and it has probably the best omlette I have yet to have. The waitress seemed disracted and got our order wrong but it was minimal so I let it slip.
The worst thing was that we got seated near the kitchen where you could hear the cooks and other workers speaking loudly and yelling at each other in Spanish.
I understand Spanish and I wasn't happy having to hear loud people swearing while I was trying to enjoy my delicious omlette. I was seriously offended. Way to spoil the atmosphere!
So if you go here, sit away from the kitchen.
Great cozy diner in the Skokie area.
No gimmicks or trickery here - just good, quality food in a
comfortable, clean setting. Huge portions for breakfast or lunch.
My favorite is the Honey Tender Wrap, and soon I must try
something new because it all looks good here, especially the
Country Fried Chicken with gravy.
Great no-nonsense diner where everybody gets treated like family.
The U.S. was built on diners like this...God Bless America!
