I have been to this location before with no major problems, but last night was a nightmare. Being that it was mothers day, I expected the wait to be long, which it was, an hour and a half.
So where do I begin??
1) I had asked for a booth, and when seated, we where given what they called a booth, which it was, but it was a booth for one, with a chair on the other side. I don't consider that a booth.
2) When we received the soup, it was luke warm at best, and bland. But I have to say, the salad was good.
3) My mother had the salmon, while it looked good, it was very dry. I had the 6 OZ sirloin, which is not a large cut by no means, which should be easy enough to cook and asked for it to be medium, it came to me rare. I also asked for the steak sauce, and the bottle was disgusting!! It was almost empty and not even wiped down, it should have been tossed in the trash and not given to a customer.
4) We took the desert to go. My mom had the carrot cake which she liked and I had the cheese cake with raspberry sauce, but when I finally decided to have it later on that night, come to find out, there was chocolate sauce instead.
Not a good night for the Outback. I am giving the 2 stars because the gal who served us was nice, don't know her name, because I didn't get a receipt... Just not what I expected it to be being mothers day, they were to overwhelmed with the amount of guests they had...
I got the carry out lunch today (The $15 four course deal) with Pork Tenderloin (good per usual), sweet potato fries (good, per usual), creamy onion soup, bread, blue cheese wedge salad (PER USUAL VERY GOOD) and then I got for dessert (a dollar extra) the 'sinful sundae'.
If you took a fist full of dough which was actually ice cream and balled it up, rolled it in coconut shreds and put it in a Styrofoam take away cup that'd be the kind of ice cream you have. The fudge they needed more of in order to really help that ice cream because it was totally not natural. It wouldn't melt for about 20 minutes of me smooching it again and again. I did enjoy that I got freshly cut strawberries on the side though. I would go with the carrot or cheesecake for dessert for takeaway.
I been in here before....years ago....and it seemes othing has changed. Â I came in here for a beer and a friend tried out a appetizer, which she liked. Â The inside is darker, which isnt a big deal, our waiter was on point with being friendly and making sure we were happy with our order, and there was some traffic in here, which is nice to see.
Why the 3 stars.....I don't know...it seemed to e nothing had changed since....I think I was in here last in 2004? Â And nothing looked different. Â Service wasn't bad , and don't get me wrong don't let my score let you think otherwise....it was a good time, and I get the 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it.' Â Yet it just seemed to be lacking....something.
Service wasn't bad at all...and the food was good. Â I feel like I should re-emphasize this.
