Great pizza. One of the things I miss most about living in the Tech Center is this pizza place. The workers are always nice and pleasant. I also like their pasta, and usually pizza places either have good pizza or pasta, not both. There are a lot of ways that you can customize your order too.
Review Source:Garlic knots were not spectacular as promised. Â :( Â Where's the garlic? Garlic powder spritzed on some dough does NOT count! Â Wait staff leaves a lot to be desired - SLOW, forgetful and inattentive! Â Shouldn't have to ask for water 3 times. Â Pizza is tasty, but at those prices I expected a better experience.
Review Source:My family and I moved to the DTC area a few months ago and have been to Lil Ricci's several times. Â We have had great service every time. Not only is the service good, but the food as well. Â So many pizza places have tasty pizza, but the other items are below par. Â This is an exception with Lil Ricci's. Â We have had their pizzas, several pasta dishes and wings and they all are so tasty. Â Our 16 month old loves the kid's ravioli. During our last visit, one of the employees brought us a complimentary dessert!
Review Source:This is my GO TO place whenever I want fast(er) Italian food. Â I have been here on numerous occasions and the guys here are wonderful. Â I have only had one awkward situation where the waitress was stoned or something but that still didn't deter me from enjoying the food. Â I have had Fettuccine Alfredo, Pizza, Spaghetti and Lasagna. Â All the tomato sauces are tangy and flavorful. Â The Alfredo sauce has a nice creamy base to it and serves my taste buds a good amount of justice. Â Last time I went, Ben was working the bar and hustling around even for my "little" to-go order. These guys really honor the customers that come in to dine. Â The atmosphere is inviting and the food is delicious! Â Usually packed on nights and light on the days. Â If you're in a hurry, call in your order and you'll be good to go!
Review Source:Alright, I am a fan of Lil Ricc'is - I will admit this much. It's close, convenient and has a lot of cool options for customizing your order, whether you eat in or order a pizza to go. The in-house options include a cool and nice environment and a nice tap/booze selection, which is cool, but no matter what you're guaranteed to get good pizza.
.....or are you? (See I how I left you hanging there??) Whatever you do, don't get extra garlic on anything - it is so overdone it's basically a crime against pizza. And I LOVE me some garlic....but still.
And if you love garlic, odds are you'll order some garlic knots. WRONG - those are also insanely garlic-y. I guess the issue I'm raising here is that things can be overdone. I ordered a to-go pizza with sausage and mushrooms, and it was fine....assuming I re-heated it the right way. This place requires a lot of pizza knowledge. Fortunately, being a fat kid, I am well versed in pizzadom....but there are a lot of issues here (oh, most notably price) that keep it from joining the top places I've ever been to. Sorry!
The restaurant is situated in a enclosed shopping area off of DTC blvd. Â A little bit difficult to see until you enter the shopping area. Â The restaurant itself was spacious and airy and was pleasant to visit - i've had lunch and dinner there and it's been quaint.
About the food - the side of Yo-Yo was very good - spaghetti aglio with a perfect mixture of EVOO and garlic.
The restaurant calls itself a "NY Pizzeria" but the pizza doesn't really bear much resemblance to a NY pie. Â It's an acceptable version in the Greenwood Village.
The Neopolitan pie was acceptable. Â The Sicilian had very little resemblance to a sicilian pie other than it was square - very little garlic in the dough and just cooked differently.
The meatball was tasty with an excellent tomato sauce.
The service was very good.
I just moved away from being very close to this Lil Ricci's. I really like the cheese pizza here, and all of the wait staff were always exceptionally friendly and accommodating to my wife and I when we sat outside with our pup.
Back to their food, another dish I really enjoyed was the eggplant marinara, it's breaded eggplant like parmigiana, but sliced and then served on top of spaghetti and sauce. Delicious!
I'll miss being able to go here easily, but I'm sure I'll make my way back once in a while.
Final note, my friend and I used to go to the Lil Ricci's on Jordan and Lincoln a lot, and that one is also very good.
Tried the 2 things people rave about here: Calzones and Garlic Knots.
The Garlic Knots lived up to the expectation: they were awesome.
...and for $4 / 10, they were a pretty good deal.
The Calzone, however, was $10 and nothing to write home about. It was giant, though... so it was like buying 2 calzones.
My wife ordered an antipasto that came with italian dressing (never saw that before). It was meh.
Glad I tried it, but the mediocre food and the restaurant prices probably won't have me back until I try all the other pizza places in town.
This was my first time at this Lil Ricci;s location. When I lived in Aurora I frequently dined at the Lil Ricci's at Parker and Orchard. I was skeptical that this location would be as good as my old one. I was pleasantly surprised. The pizza was great and the service excellent. I recomend the garlic bread w/ cheese over the garlic knots. I don't know why people are crazy for those.
Review Source:I came in simply to get some garlic knots, hey I needed some driving food, ok?? I ended up ordering garlic bread with cheese also.
The place was dead, so they started my food right away. Looks like everything is prepared to order, so expect a few minutes wait. I am fine with that as long as the food is good.
Ok, well the garlic bread with cheese was pretty standard. Nothing special to say about it. The bread was crisp and soft where it needed to be. It is what I expected.
I was a bit disappointed in the garlic knows. the ones I got should have actually been called Parmesan dough balls. They were not garlic-y or light and airy like I think garlic knots should be. These were very heavy and doughy. I was stuffed after eating less than 4 of them. With that said, they were still tasty, just not what I was thinking I would get.
So, the food I tried was a bit disappointing. I am not very eager to try the pizza now. Maybe if someone else buys.
The Pizza is delicious - new york style done fairly right. I hold NY Pizza to a high standard so this one isn't at the very top, but it's one of the best I've had in Colorado so far. Colorado seems to have a deficit of decent pizza places (see Stumpy's, Slices and Pudge Brothers) Yuck. We've had dine in and take out and both were good. Atmosphere is decent for a pizza joint but it can be very loud at times, making for a pretty unpleasant experience. I recommend sticking with the pizza here. I tried the eggplant parmesan and it was pretty much inedible. The eggplant was soggy and tasted like it was cooked a week prior. If that had been my only experience, I wouldn't return. Go with the pizza - and do takeout, and you won't be disappointed.
Review Source:This place is within walking distance of my apartment complex, so I was hoping to discover a pizza goldmine. Instead I found a pizza... uhh... coppermine? (Not sure how to continue that mining analogy.) Anyway--
I ate here with my family while they were visiting Colorado, and all agreed that the pizza was good but nothing spectacular. I should note that we ordered the large Sicilian pizza instead of the NY thin crust pizza. I definitely need to go back and try the NY style pizza.
We also ordered the garlic knots per the advice of so many prior reviewers. The garlic knots weren't that great. In fact we had some left over that no one wanted to eat.
Service was unimpressive. When we were seated, it took at least ten minutes before anyone came over to our table. That's unacceptable. And then throughout our meal it seemed like our server kept changing. Confusing, distracting, and unprofessional.
This is one rare instance where I feel like Yelp reviews gave me great expectations that were let down, but like I said--I'd still like to go back and try the NY pizza.
Garlic knots are great! Â I ordered the chicken parm the first time I went here and it was terrible! Â I probably would have given the place only one star! Â However, the I did go back and the knots were great, the pizza was great and the caprese salad was pretty ok (it almost had too much cheese, who would have thought that could happen!) Â The pizza was a huge slice, thin and crispy, and pretty tasty. Â This is a great place for some cheap Italian. Â Its not the best you'll ever eat, but its also very cheap for Italian. Â I'd definitely go back.
Review Source:I've tried "eat in" and delivery. Â If you go the eat in route you won't be disappointed. Â The pizza is hot, thin crust and saucy. Â However, if you go the pick up route, not worth the expenditure. Â Cheese was hard to find on the pizza. Â Sorry guys---I like gooey and saucy pizza......
*it is a bit on the salty side too.
Upon my first review it had just opened and very busy. Now it is the same great food, same great service along with seating. The owner is one of the nicest persons I have ever met. Love the pizza but love more is the RIGS and RAVS a mixture of ravioli and pasta  slathered in marinara sauce.
Must go.
I wonder why so many of these Greenwood Village establishments get such high ratings when they are just ok. Â It must be because there is nothing that great to compare them to in the first place. Â We came here for lunch and I ordered the gluten free pizza which was proudly displayed on the menu. Â The bartender didn't even know what I was talking about and then said they were out of it. Â OK, so we ordered a regular pizza and I wish we had just walked out. Â The pizza was not good. Â not good. Â It was bland and there is no way these people come from NY!
Review Source:I strongly believe that giving out five stars on the first visit is necessary. Â This was our first visit and we were thoroughly impressed. The server was so friendly and not pushy at all. I hate pushy servers...maybe because I'm a server and hold high expectations...? Â Our server was friendly, attentive, honest, and knowledgeable. Â She exceeded our expectations. Â The food was to die for! Â We started with the garlic knots upon recommendations from past yelpers. They were amazing!!! Â We shared the sampler dinner platter and it was the perfect amount of food! It was oozing with cheese and it was piping hot until the very last bite. Â I'm excited to go back and try one of their pizzas! Â I think this is a new favorite spot for us!
Review Source:Lil' Ricci's took over the space vacated by another pizza place named Sauce. The interior hasn't changed much since the changeover, but it didn't need to. Obviously the pizzas have changed, and for the better.
I'm a bit of a pizza snob to be honest. My ideal pizza is a thin crust with high quality vegetables but most importantly baked in a wood fired oven to give the dough a gorgeous flavour. The closest I've found to that in Denver has been Marco's Coal Fired Pizza in LoDo. This is a good second. The pizza at Ricci's has a nice crust although it's not wood or coal fired and the ingredients seems good enough. I'm not sure the pizza deserves the price but it's by far better than the Hut or Johns and I'd go as far as to say the best pizza in the DTC.
Your team scores that final goal and are league champions! You head to Lil' Ricci's for a pizza party.
The family's in town and you need an easy delicious meal that you know everyone will approve of. You all pile into Lil' Ricci's for the big reunion.
You're in for a pizza and movie night and would never order from Domino's. You call up Lil' Ricci's and order piping hot takeout to bring home to the family.
For years my family has relied on various locations of this place for all of our pizza needs. This means we have established a pretty standard routine:
1. Drinks and Sticks and Stones for the table with an extra order of marinara
2. Antipasta Salad for 2 to be shared by 4 with their amazing House dressing on the side.
3. Sausage, green pepper, and mushroom pizza either thin crust or sicilian depending on the mood. It's all good anyways!
If it's a different kind of night you'll find me ordering Eggplant Marinara which is both spicy and delicious. My brother's been known to eat some canolli's here as well when he wants something sweet to cap off the meal.
This is the newest location in the Lil' Ricci's family and although I can't help but think of Sauce every time I walk in, it still has the old familiar smell of my favorite location located by where I used to live. After living in New York I thought I might think differently on the pizza this time but it still was delicious, the staff was attentive, and everyone was happy. For any occasion, Lil' Ricci's delivers*!
*Not literally, of course. But it does have reliable take-out!
Very good, solid east coast style pizza. Â We came all the way from downtown for this pizza. Â The cheese, the crust, the ingredients, its all there. Â I'm reluctant to give places five stars, and we debated this one, but I feel it is deserved. Â The staff was super friendly as well. Â I felt like I was at an good pizzeria in Jersey.. Â and thats what they deliver on. Â I mean, this is Colorado after all...
Review Source:little ricci's is my favorite pizza place i have been to in colorado. whenever friends visit me from out of town i always take them there for dinner and it quickly becomes their favorite tto. one of my friends still craves this pizza....and he lives three states away! the poor thing. but, since i am such a good friend, Â I let him eat it vicariously through me...I send him picture messages and detailed texts describing all the cheesy, garlicky goodness and how it's the best pizza ever. He never responds for some reason though. Juuuust kidding. I don't
a c t u a l l y do that. Cruel.
Anyways, when I'm there, I usually get pizza and an order of garlic knots which are incredible. they remind me of the garlic knots i used to eat when i was little on the beach in hollywood, florida. a few times they have even brought free garlic knots to the table... carbo-loading? go to lil ricci's. a friend took me here years ago as it is her family's favorite too....basically glad we were friends....mostly just so i could be introduced to such great pizza.
Ok, I'm stingy with my stars and rarely give five unless I'm really impressed.
I asked the server for her reccomendation and got the raviloli yo-yo with chicken. Oh. My. God. Â My hubby won't want to come near me until the garlic wears off next week, but it seriously might just be worth it.
The hubby had the meatball hero and it was equally delicious. Even the chips were awesome!
Great service and excellent food, I will definitely be back.
I am pizza lover and for sure I keep Little Ricci's as a option when choosing pizza to eat. You will find some options of pizza like thin crust, thick crust and calzones. I ordered all meat calzone (Pepperoni, Sausage, Ham, Canadian Bacon) which came loaded of cheese. Awesome! full of flavor.
Review Source:great pizzas, comparable to Anthony's, Abos, etc.
It's large with just enough cheese and toppings to make it messy and greasy. I love the tomato sauce that they use, it's light with just enough flavor, not overly salty.
However, i would stick to the pizzas and wings. Everything else on their menu can't compare to their pies, although their tomato sauce really saves their dishes.
lil ricci's: a perfect new years eve dinner? you might not agree, but maybe you've just never tried it.
garlic knots: i could eat the whole basket plus some. so buttery and garlicy and knotty.
regular ol' cheese pizza: SO GOOD. the slices were huge, and covered in a blanket of snuggly parmesan and a dash of red pepper, it was perfection. maybe i just hadn't had pizza in a while, but suddenly i didn't care about my trip to the gym earlier, my mind was consumed with consuming as much pizza as possible.
and! good part: it was cheap. 4 of us had an appetizer and at least two slices of giant pizza for 5 dollars a person.
sure i got made fun of my 7/8 italian boyfriend for loving this so much when he was making his own new years eve pizza, but not all of us are blessed with pizza making genes, so we come to lil riccis.
My buddies and I had to wait a while before our orders were taken, but what can you expect from a hole in the wall NY style pizza place in Denver.
What I ordered: two thin crust pepperoni slices with root beer - it hit the spot.
I can imagine returning when I'm drunk and in need of a salty, greasy unhealthy fix to sedate my arteries.
This joint was pretty good. Â I really liked the pizza, nice big slices and the thin crust is baked really well. Â Crispy, but not burnt. Â The bread was pretty good as well. Â The Garlic knots sounded interesting but I didn't venture that way.
I had the pepperoni and garlic, I like the way the Garlic is prepared for the topping.
Te service was a little slow and they need to BRIX their soda fountain but beyond that...
I wouldn't go out of my way to go back, especially with Old Chicago right close but if someone wanted to go there or I ended up there again, I certainly wouldn't object.
These guys have one of the better pizzas. I can't get enough of it and their garlic knots and bread rolls are delicious. They also have a bunch of pasta, salads, sandwiches, etc but I usually have to order the pizza when I go. Great place for no nonsense great  talian food. The small wait staff is always busy and they do a great job keeping your drinks full.
