I don't know why people are so critical of a restaurant/bar that's in a movie theater.  It's...in a movie theater-what more do you want??

I am actually super impressed by the ability to hang out at a movie, without pre-teens (sorry kids), and get a few drinks before or during the movie.  I enjoyed the food, for what it is.  Yes, alot of it was fried, but you can find a salad or sandwich on the menu if you're watching your figure.  Again, I wasn't expecting a full on 5 star meal.  Any time I am offered the ability to bring bacon popcorn into a movie, I am pleasantly surprised.  It's a tad on the pricey side, but again, I've never been one to expect items at the movies to be cheap.

As for someone commenting about the "strange" mix of clientele (everyone from "frat boys, giggly girls, mom and a dad with dad, etc.), that's EXACTLY what you get in a theater.  I expect to get a wide variety across all demographics, since that's what the movies are all about. It's not your local trendy hotspot where you expect to see the hottest people dressed to kill.  Some people are on dates, some people are in yoga pants.  All are fine by me.  I'm not sure how much I can stress this: IT'S THE MOVIES, PEOPLE.

The ONLY reason I docked it a star was because there's always a wait to get a table, and sometimes so crowded at the bar that it is difficult to order a drink, but this is usually on a Friday or Saturday night, so you'd expect the place to be crowded with movie-goers.  It also does not take reservations, which is a little annoying as a customer, but as a business owner, definitely smart since there are always tons of people looking to eat before their movie, and there's nothing more frustrating than an empty reserved table, with 10 people waiting and ready.

All and all I give it a thumbs up if you feel like having a dinner-movie night all in one place.  My boyfriend and I frequent the VIP lounge and balcony often. :)

This is the most spectacular theater in the world. I love the VIP lounge and theater. It is best to sit in the balcony, trust me. I questions it at first because I thought we would be too far away to see, but the seats were perfect. The lounge menu is pricey, but the food is delicious! I still dream of their pizza and I wish I could have it everyday because no other pizza compares to it. It is more of the traditional Italian pizza than Chicago style, so don't expect a deep dish mess if you order it. I read that even the water is imported from Italy! I recommend the Four Cheese Pizza because it was so delicious that we didn't realize it comes with Balsamella sauce instead of tomato sauce until it was nearly devoured. I don't eat meat, but I seen the sliders and they looked wonderful! They were large, nicely presented and, in my opinion, worth the price if they taste the way they look. You have a choice of reserving two seats in the adjoined theater so that your seats connect, which allows you to lift up the armrest and be closer to the person you're with, or reserving two seats with a table in the center, so you don't have to worry about a stranger needing to share yours. If you need to share your table it probably won't be a big deal, but it would be nice if they were bigger or set up differently. We tried their Brownie in a Skillet and it was also delicious! I really want to try the House-made chips with caramelized onion dip. I'm worried that it may not be vegetarian, but it also might be, so I may try it next time. I would give this place 7 stars if it was possible! There were more of these, but they changed hands and it is very sad. We eventually want to move to Minnesota and are so lucky because that is the only other state where one of these magical places exists! I pray that Kerasotes/ShowPlace Icon opens some more locations soon.

No pre-movie location needed when a lounge is included at the venue. Great idea on paper but in practice it was a failure.

The the Florentine pizza had a great thin crust  with fresh ingredients and a unique tomato sauce. The bruschetta was compiled with warm toasty bread and a blend of garlic, fresh tomatoes, parmesan, all atop balsamic vinegar. All great except for the appetizer and pizza came out at the same time. Eh, I think as a server you can account for some lag time between the two. This is where things got off on the foot and the last time we saw our server for the next hour.

Empty plates sat for a good half hour no one was to be found for a fresh drink. Tried asking bussers, and they replied "I'm not a server", and other wait staff were clueless. No help in that regard. We ended up flagging our server down for the check  and that concluded the shitty service giving us just a few minutes to get to the show. We debated walking out on the check to give you an idea of frustration from this Houdini act (which I have never done).

I enjoyed the food and the drinks were reasonably priced. Disappointing when the service has to ruin it. I am sure its hit or miss on a Sunday evening but this was a clear miss.
