Oh Yelpers.... you never fail to be accurate! The reviews on this place are somewhat old, so I hoped the owner would have read them and made improvements. (Oh how we can hope for so much in life...)
First impression:
-Where the hell is this place?! I drove around the block THREE times. Now I realize why the website mentions personal training. It's in a gym!
-Parking was hard-- just a small stretch of expensive meters, and the meter is all the way at the end of the block (ok, yes, exercise is good, but not when I'm in a hurry!)
-When you walk into the gym it's the first thing you see. The guy looking at me helpfully? He works for the gym, not Eat Fit. The Eat Fit worker was at the other end, head down, stressing out over some wraps...
-The menu overhead is very clear (and # calories labeled) but everything at eye level is messy and unappealing. Even the framed write-up SHOWCASING the success of the owner is FULL of dust! Yikes!! There are a few tables and chairs. I think they were clean. There were also some fridge cases with juice and fruit in them. Not impressive.
Being helped:
-The guy was nice. I told him I wanted a wrap and a smoothie.... After 2 min of making my wrap he says they are out of RoastBeef. Arg, ok.... He was nice in making other suggestions... I tried the Chipotle Chicken Wrap.
-After making my wrap, and doing I don't know what else-- making other wraps, pacing, looking at computer-- he went to ring me up. I said "and I also wanted a smoothie". He let out a big "UGH" which made me feel embarrassed but what'cha'gunna'do....
-There was also an old man there who had asked for a smoothie, and his "Pace" ride came, so he made his quickly. I didn't mind, and I thought that was really nice of the guy.
-He explained that 3 deliveries were placed before we got there, and the driver was waiting so he had to get them out.
OWNERS: Why the hell aren't you giving your employees more help? Hire more workers. Pre-make stuff. Make it a nicer place to work (it has to be cold being just inside the front door). Assign numbers, or have a sign they can put up "delivery orders being made". If so many yelpers are hesitant to go there due to delays... let's pump up the volume!
Anyway, I really give this guy credit-- he tried his best. I wish there was an option to tip on the credit card because I would have tipped him. There wasn't even a tip jar. (Hello owners?!)
"Wrap"up:
-Wrap was good. Although it was supposedly grilled, it.... wasn't. (Was the grill off? I saw him do it!) The chunks of chicken were good. The sauce tasted perfectly unhealthy. The wrap wasn't dry or cardboardy. The corn was fresh. The portion was generous. The side of kale parmesan salad was small (but who could eat a large one anyhow), but had a great balance of dressing and 2 other items (nuts and cranberries? I can't recall). Was a very tasty meal I have to say. This must be why they are still in business.
-Mango Tango smoothie was PERFECT
-I am glad I didn't get a parking ticket. This process took 25 minutes. So sad. So VERY sad.
-There isn't a loading zone in the front, so I MIGHT decide to give them a try, provided that the food is ready, and I will call from outside in the bus zone, saying I am walking in the door and grabbing my food. No looking for parking, paying for parking, waiting, making friends with old men in line, and feeling bad for a stressed out worker surrounded by dust.
I'm very impressed with their food. Â I love their winter power spinach salad with feta. Â
I've tried their juice #1 but it's so popular you'd be lucky if you get it. Â Half the times when i order it, their juicer is broken, OR they are out of one or two ingredients to make it. Â I have successfully gotten that juice only once after making 4 attempts at ordering it. Â My orders are online - so they often call me to tell me it can't be made....
Taste: 5 (healthy food with great taste)
Servive: 3 (i normally did delivery, but now that i've started pick-up i'm happier. Â Staff is friendly and quick.)
Quality 3 (i think some ingredients can be improved, after a few e-mai
I wanted to try some delivery food that wasn't unhealthy. So, EatFit is perfect. We ordered the Thai chicken sandwich, quiona w/chicken and salmon salad. I ordered for dinner and lunch for work. Â The food is really good and fresh. The prices are reasonable. This place will definitely be my go to take out.
