We wanted to go to a steakhouse for dinner and since we are new in town someone suggested that we go to Lone Star. There was a wait (which was fine for a Saturday night) but they don't really have a waiting area. So everyone waiting for a table is all piled up at the front door.
Beyond that, we sat down and got our bread in a timely fashion as well as our drinks. I ordered the sirloin steak medium (it came out well done). So, I ordered a water to go along with it... I drank two glasses in the time it took to consume the steak because it was THAT dry. The baked potato was good. It came loaded. The caesar salad needed more dressing and more spice. My son ordered a combo platter with a sirloin steak (medium) and baby back ribs. He ordered green beans and rice for his sides. His steak was perfect and his ribs were falling off the bone like they should. The sauce on them was delicious. The rice was waaayyyy over cooked and only my toddler dared to eat more than a fork full.
I felt the meal was over-priced for the amount you get and at that price it should be cooked to temperature. Will I go back? Not by choice...
Food is good, but basic. Sweet potatoes are the size of a softball and less than $2... Butter, brown sugar, cinnamon... It's a $2 lunch and take-home dinner. Awesome blossom and fries with cheese, bacon, and so on are also good. Basically, appetizers are great. Meat is generally over-cooked and low grade. Also does not  treat its service staff well, from what I have heard.
Essentially - good for cheap carbs, but don't count on quality service or meat.
