Logan's Roadhouse

Anywhere that is okay with you throwing peanuts on the floor I am a fan of.  Great side ceasar salads, salmon and grilled chicken sandwiches.  TIP:  Not a big fan of their cheeseburgers but you can substitute a grilled chicken instead of a burger.  Only complaint is who washes their silverware...anyone?

So yeah, Logan's is a chain.  Isn't 90% of what's available for food in Bloomington-Normal a chain?

Yeah, it gets busy.  But we were seated within the time frame in which we were given, and we were able to grab a beer at the bar while we were waiting.

Service was prompt and attentive.  I could've made a meal out of the hot-from-the-oven rolls and sweet butter... moving on before I start salivating...

Yeah, I get it, this isn't Gibson's or Chicago Prime or any other high end steakhouse.  It's a big fat chain with a big fat footprint.  But you know what?  The steak here was better than the steak at Chili's, or Applebee's.  Why?  Because they're a roadhouse, that's what they specialize in.

The steaks were cooked to the temp's we requested, and the side dishes (there were many to choose from and each dinner gets 2) were large.  The grilled mushrooms were especially good, whole mushroom caps on a skewer, not overcooked and mushy.

Was it a little pricey for dinner for 2 in a college town?  Yeah... Would I RUN back to Logan's?  No...

But for a Friday night dinner before hitting up Uptown Normal, it worked.

We are here a couple of times....it has the look of a fun place but i just didnt think the food was that great and i was not impressed overall.  I like Lonestar just acrross the street better.  i am suprised Logans is as crowded as it is because to me the food is only ok
