All the ambience of a Ponderosa with the prices of a Ruth's Chris. Â I had a filet shish kabob that was gristly, though well portioned. Â The baked potato was also on the large side, but what benefit is that if the taste is not there? And yet, the place was packed on a Sunday night. Â Go figure. On the odd chance that I happened on a bad cut of meat, I still will not go back primarily because I don't see why one should pay so much for a meal you have to cook in an establishment that lacks character.
Review Source:The salad bar and steak was great.. Â not so happy with the service though. Â If you are getting the early-bird special be sure to ask where to get it. Â Our ticket was also messed up and after one attempt to fix it, we just figured out the correct amount amongst our group of 4.
I think I would go back, but just for the food! Â And I will cook my steak for longer..
Visited while in town with family. Â Interesting concept this place has.
Pick your steak, walk over to a large charcoal grill, and cook it up yourself. Â Yep, baffled me a bit as well, isn't the whole point to have someone else prepare a meal for you?
A large salad bar awaits, texas toast and baked potatoes are near the grill, so you can heat those up as well with your steak.
I had the staff cook mine, and the Santa Maria was excellent. Â Seasoned well, and cooked low enough so that the flavors still shined through.
Not a vegan's type of place. But if you need meat and carbs, dive in.
