OK so this place Opened last Friday (3/15/13) and as I said in my tip, it's über Pinoy. We got there at about 11:30 on a Friday and it was pretty darn slow but, once 1 AM hits, watch out! it's like trying to walk through Manila. People pack it in for Karaoke for sure.

    Karaoke... what true Filipino doesn't?
Upon entering this world I was given 3 things: A slap on the ass, a Birth Certificate and a Magic Sing karaoke machine.
It took a while but I did get to sing a couple songs and let me tell ya, it was tough following up 6 songs in Tagalog with Wheatus' 'Teenage Dirtbag' and Blinks 'All The Small Things', but I pulled it off.
The karaoke selection is pretty diverse, country, rock, hip hop and everything in between. And, while the karaoke machine only pumps out 8 bit midi tunes, unlike one of those super snazzy ones that cost as much as a moped, it's still good fun. I loved every minute of it, especially the peeps yelling "ANOTHER ONE!" so... I'm either THAT GOOD or SO BAD it's AWESOME... either way, I'll take it.

Since we got there 'early' we decided on some nom noms.
Not gonna lie, coming from a Filipino family with plenty of Filipino cooking and all that... I wasn't super impressed with the Pancit. Maybe it's because like ANY Pinoy Boy "No-one makes it as good as my (fill in the blank)." But, a couple of us were there and we pretty much agreed that the Pancit was missing something, that something was a bit off. I did enjoy the Crispy Pata (basically pig foot and tibia/fibula) it was hot super crispy skin and a flavorful meat. The chicken fried rice was A-OK(little to much garlic for me), it's loaded with chicken and veggies, nicely fried up and not super oily either. Each entree has a very generous portion size, plenty for two people(or three) to share.

    Onto the drinky drink.
Prices are CHEAP beer. Shots between $3 and $5ish.
Problem: they just opened, liquor shelves aren't too stocked, so selection is limited for now. When we went there was no: Rumchata, Crown Royal Maple or Kahlúa... just FYI. The owner totally acknowledged that fact so props to her. If you stick to the mainstream liquors like Jim, Jack, Johnny and Jose, or the typical rums and vodkas you'll be just fine. Mixed drinks (while limited) are tasty and very generously poured - as in: Strong enough to put you on your a$$!

I'll be back for some karaoke and Crispy Pata for sure. I'm sure that this place will just get better as they get into the groove and past some of the growing pains.

    ^.^

FINALLY AN AUTHENTIC FILIPINO LOUNGE! The food, service, and drinks were superb... and as always, the karaoke is very fun. Even if you don't want to partake, there are always regulars who keep you well entertained.
