I've been coming to La Piramide since I graduated from 8th grade (I had my graduation dinner here). I have lots of memories stored here. (Mostly dinner with my mom) and every time I come here I feel good. The food is good. I used to order Camarones a la diabla all the time (before I began getting allergic reactions to shrimps) now I order Enchiladas Suisas..! Delicioso!!!
Review Source:Hmm... another taqueria. Â Do you see a trend here? Â
I went here for lunch today and yes, we have a winner! Â But I must warn you. Â If you're scared of the words "cabeza" and "lengua", you may want to stop reading. Â For those who aren't scared, will you marry me? Â
The cabeza (head) tacos are my favorite. Â Tender pieces of meat - a bit of this and that, if you know what I mean - with cilantro, onions, and smokey red chili salsa on the side. Â I'm already addicted to it. Â The lengua (tongue) tacos were also delicious. Â Thinly sliced lengua, topped with cilantro and onions. Â I prefer braised, shredded lengua, but their version is quite good. Â The only item I didn't care for was the carne asada taco. Â I've had better carne asada elsewhere, plus for some reason they added lettuce, tomato, and cheese to it. Â
Tacos were inexpensive (under $2 each) and they were pretty generous with the meat. Â The rest of the menu is typical taqueria fare: tostadas, sopes, gorditas, huaraches, quesadillas, etc. Â I want to try their guacamole next time. Â Honestly, other than the guac, I'm happy with just ordering the cabeza tacos.
