I loooove Brown's Chicken. Â I grew up eating Brown's. Â Fond, fond memories. Â Either way, their chicken is just the darn best of the fast food bunch a million times over. Â Love the slaw, fries, corn fritters, biscuits are good too. Â Fresh, large pieces of tasty chicken. Â Or usually large pieces. Â Mmm mmm.
I've never actually been inside this location. Â My hubs will call over, place an order and pick up. Â Key is calling ahead and placing an order because if you walk in and order, it does take a very long time. Â Their food is hot and fresh when you get it, but prepare to wait. Â The breasts at this location seem to be shrinking in size too. Â Make all your jokes now, I left the door open for ya.
And, key to calling ahead is to find out if they are out of chicken. Â Yes, the last several times we've called, they're either out of wings or out of breasts. Â How on earth does a chicken place run out of chicken?! Â
Brown's in general gets a big 5 stars from me, but consistently running out of chicken parts is enough to get me to write a review and only give this location 3 stars.
First let me say I love Browns Chicken. Â Fond memories from childhood of the mushrooms and chicken livers as well as the chicken. Â Went to this location and ordered a 3 piece white meat with a side and presented a valid coupon that ran in the Chicago Tribune for a free small order of mushrooms. Â I was told by the employee that he had "given too many free orders away" and decided to end the promotion the day before. Â And besides "it's only $3". Â I walked out and will never go to this location of Browns Chicken again. Â BEWARE - this is a SKETCHY FRANCHISEE!!!!! Â DO NOT PATRONIZE!!!!
